My mom, sister, niece & nephew will be sharing a 2-bedroom with us at OKW in June. I'm in the process of booking all of our flights now. Will they be able to check into the resort without us if their flights are earlier than ours? Or will they have to wait for us to get there? We are new DVC members (purchased in November/December). I would really prefer to beat them there but if we can't get decent flights I don't want them to lose out. We are flying from two different places and meeting there.

Be sure to list their names on the reservation, and they'll be able to check-in.

If they are listed, they will be able to check in if they show a picture ID. The last reservation that I made for friends, I also had to give their home phone number and was told that it would be for them to verify who they are in case they are calling in to see if the room is ready.

Your question makes me wonder if MS should also have their phone number or if they could find out about room ready if they knew your phone number.

Thanks for the help. I'm hoping that we can arrive at the airport within 1/2 hour of each other and ride to WDW together but not sure that is going to work out. They are already listed on our reservation so it sounds like I'm all set if they do arrive before us.

If you are getting the DDP for all of you, they may have to pay for everyone up front. And if you want to have charging privileges tied to YOUR credit card for only your family, tell them not to give a credit card for charging.

Once we brought my husband's brother and his family with us. They checked in after we did. When they checked in and got their room IDS (this was a while back), the front desk put their credit card on the room for charging and we didn't find out for a bit. So we had to go back, remove charging from their card and use only our credit card for the three of us.

We aren't getting the DDP. I'll have to work out the charging privileges and how we are going to handle that. I'm assuming that my sister and mom will prefer to use their own credit cards. Thanks for the info.
