Non-DVC member and room request

I've purchased points from a DVC member for an upcoming stay at SSR. Will Disney accept any requests I might have or does the DVC member have to call on my behalf?

The member will need to make the request for you. They retain ownership of the reservation till you check in, so only they can make changes to it.
