Non DVC hotels

Hi, does anyone know of hotels we can get with DVC points near Universal Hollywood? It's too far to drive from DL when we can never get a DVC unit there. If we have to spend xtra pts on a hotel, how about one near where we want to be

From a financial perspective, I would recommend renting out the points and then just booking something cash.

I'm sure there's probably something in the Concierge Collection or as an RCI trade, but the points for those tend to be steep versus the cash pricing.

You might have better luck with this question over on the DIS California & the West board.

If they can't help you with using DVC points, they can certainly suggest other hotels close to Universal Hollywood.

You're right -- it's a LONG way from DL...all the way on the other side of LA and through the worst of the traffic both ways.

I don't believe, having just scrolled through RCI's Directory that there are any RCI Exchange options near Universal Hollywood. You'd be best off to book hotels on cash.

I stayed at a Sheraton that was walking distance to Universal. It was a work conference so not points. I did spend a couple days before at DL, it ended up being about a 90 minute drive due to traffic.
