Once again I turn to the boards for non disney advice. I do get great info this way.

We are new parents. We used to enjoy traveling. But now we have 2 childen under the age of 2. Our oldest has been to WDW twice already and will be going back this fall. We like to take 2 trips per year if possible. What other vacation destinations have you enjoyed with toddlers? We don't know what would be reasonable with small kids.

Thanks.

We enjoyed San Antonio with our son when he was that small but that's a bit far for you. My son was always partial to amusement parks of any kind, musical acts, the beach and zoos when that young. He also loved hotels which was a good thing. :)

We enjoyed Silver Springs when our little guy was 1 year old. There are lots and lots of very colorful flowers and birds throughout the park which really caught his eye, and sidewalks through them for toddleing! And then there are the boat rides. Are you familiar with the Jungle Cruise at Disney? Well, at Silver Springs the animals are REAL! They have a website: www.silversprings.com

What we've been going since having our first child 5 years ago, is renting a private villa on St. John. It's a GREAT vacation, own pool at the house, so DH and I can relax while the kids are taking naps. The beaches there are some of the best in the world, and with your own place, we don't have to worry about the kids being disruptive to any one elses vacation. We usually go out to dinner every night, so I'm not cooking!!! Now that our youngest is 2, we're hoping next year to try a resort again, but St. John still has our heart!!

Lori,

If you get time, will you leave on boareds or email some way to learn more about these villas. thanks.

We've done the Disney cruise with our then 2 1/2 year old and then again when we had 2 DD's ages 2 and 5.

They both LOVED it and the 2 year old never wanted to go back to our room and when we pulled in our driveway, she cried "more Mickey" and cried at our front door for an hour!

Also, last year (everyone thinks we're crazy) we took them to Paris for 5 days to celebrate our 10th anniversary. They had fun. Of course, the most fun to our 2 year old in Paris was the trains! Also the Effiel tower. We even went to a cabaret show which in Paris is considered a 'family' show! And of course, they both LOVED Disneyland Paris!!! That goes without saying...

Of course, I would NOT go back to Paris any time soon due how much they hate us right now.

Just thought I'd share with you our experiences. Don't regret any trips with our DD's at age 2!!

Good luck!
