Non-Disney Things To Do

For our trip next March, I'm thinking we would only do Disney parks about 50% of the time. We'll be there 6 full days and I'm thinking we would do three days at the parks (one each at MK, Epcot and AK). For one of the other days we will definitely be going to Seaworld. For another day I was thinking we'd just spend the day perhaps relaxing around SSR and the pool. I'm looking for suggestions for the third day that doesn't require spending lots of money. For example we've never been to Celebration, so I thought we'd ride over there and look around. Are there any other places in the Orlando area you can suggest? Is there anything in the downtown Orlando area? We've been down so often, I'm just looking for something "different". Thanks for your help.

We spent a day at Celebration when it first opened up. We toured the model homes and ate at a lovely restaurant etc. It has changed a lot since then. We will be there the first week of March also, but we are only going to be at OKW for 5 nights and then we are heading down to Fort Myers for Twins training camp. You might want to look into a spring training game at Disney's WWOS.

Good suggestion Diane!! Spring training game - hopefully the tribe beating the twins.. hee hee.. well, actually - only the Braves train down there right now, but I'd heard a rumor that the Tribe may share it...

There's a Tiffany museum in Orlando that's pretty neat.

When is the Tribe rumored to start sharing the facility? I hope it is this next spring, because maybe I could see a game at WDW as well as Fort Myers!

Surf or swim at Cocoa Beach (1 hour). Cypress Gardens. Discovery Cove. Charter fishing in the Atlantic or Gulf. Float Itchetucknee Springs in an inner tube or canoeing in Ocala Ntl Forest -- I thinks it's Juniper Springs. (These two are probably more than an hour away.) Millenia Mall is very close.
