Non-Disney restaurants

Can anyone recomend a really nice place for our first night there. We'll be staing at Holiday Inn maingate east. Something a little better than the standard chains.

Have you looked into the restaurants at Universal's CityWalk? There are lots of fun themed restaurants (Latin Quarter, Bob Marley's, Margaritaville) that won't break the bank. I personally recommend Emeril's but I don't know if that's too far out of the budget.

Anyway, there's plenty to choose from and CityWalk itself is a fun distraction. DH & I often wander around & go in some shops to work off our dinner.
