Non-Disney Photographers? Wishes or Escape Dessert party photographs?

I am looking for suggestions/prices for non-Dinsey photographers. I am leaning towards a Wishes wedding and my problem is the Disney photo packages are set in stone. I am looking to get a photographer for 4 6 or 8 hours and would like all the pictures on a Hi-Res CD. Who did you guys use and ~ how much if you did this type of set up? (Also, I back up plan is Escape wedding though I want a dessert party with pictures, how did anyone having an in-park dessert party have pictures done? Did you use an outside person?)

I'm pretty sure you cannot have an outside photographer for the Dessert Party....though there might be an exception to the rule for Sago Cay DP's??

We are using Randy Chapman for our photographer. I'm pretty sure we are getting all of our pictures on a DVD. Randy comes highly recommended and very reasonably priced.

We're using David and Vicki Ardnt for our wedding in December and they are absolutely fabulous. I can't say enough wonderful things about them. They're very flexible with their packages and we ended up saving over $1,000 compared to the Disney packages, plus we're getting all the images on a hi-res DVD. They're definitely worth looking into!

We are using Sean Wells. He is wonderful and very reasonable in price. He did our engamnet pictures for free when we booked the wedding with him....check out his sight....I think he is priced great...we were going to go with Randy...but I found Sean to be cheaper! We are also using David and Vicki...have yout though about having a Wishes Dessert Party then you would be able to have your outside photogs since it wouldn't actually be in the park???

You cannot use an outside photographer for any function held inside the parks, including dessert parties. You would be able to use one if all your events—ceremony, reception, dessert party—are at the resorts though. We used the Roots.

Thank you guys! trying to keep my options open and still be able to do this for close to the wishes minimum (including photography) but the Disney prices are a little steep and I don't like some of the mixed reviews on who you get as a photographer....wish they would just let you customize! Anyone doing an Escape wedding and a dessert party (either Epcot or GF) how did you get extra time for pictures? I asked about adding an hour to the package and was getting no where..

We are saving a lot of money by using outside photography. We're having a welcome dinner reception at Sago Cay or GFM with Wishes Fireworks. We also got our engagement session included free with our Wedding Package. We too, are using David and Vicki Arndt. I love that we get two photographers. I met with them and fell in love with their albums and them!
