Has anyone done an all-inclusive "resort for a day" excursion in Jamaica? Disney only offers one at the Jewel Runaway Bay for $139.00. Resort for a day offers many others for $40 less. Should we be concerned about not booking with Disney? All aboard is at 4:45 and the transfer to the resorts are about 45 minutes away. Looking to see if see companies are reputable and reliable to get back to the ship on time.

A *really* good place to find info on ports of call is over on cruisecritic, in their ports of call section.

From what I've read, I personally would never take a non-cruiseline excursion in Jamaica. Some other countries, maybe. But not Jamaica. And I have no experience with that country. So take it with a grain of salt.

I purchased day passes for Royalton directly through the hotel and booked a private car through Jamrock Journeys to take us back and forth. I'm having the car pick us up about 1 1/2 hours before all aboard just to be safe.

A couple years ago we booked day passes (with transfers) to the Hilton Rose Hall. Despite mediocre weather, we had a great day. Their beach was kind of small, but the pools were great and the kids loved the lazy river. It was a very relaxing day would love to repeat anytime.
