Does anyone else get calls from non-Disney hotels with "to good to be true" offers? Ramada Resort is bugging me to come stay there but I love Disney property hotels and when I tell them the offer doesn't temp me they say well I think I can get you something cheaper. I wish they would quit bugging me.

How do they know that your are going to WDW? Where would they get your information from? That is kind of scary.
I have never had any resort call me to stay at their hotel instead of Disney, and I have stayed on site 5 times in 7 years.
I do get timeshare advertisements in the mail and on line, but that is because I have filled out brochures etc.

I'm moving this to the Orlando Hotel board as it does not relate to Disney Resorts.

Be careful. My neice fell for this last year and it was a timeshare presentation while her family stayed in an no air condition rat trap.

Ramada should be ashamed of themselves!

It sounds like a timeshare come-on. I get those too in the mail and as e-mail Spam. They go into the garbage!

Ever see those timeshare booths around Orlando? I tend to walk around or walk quickly past them. They usually don't bother me when I'm travelling solo. :)

I got this call also and I believe they got my info from the Florida tourism office (don't know the specific name). I sent for the "Orlando Magicard" and the call followed soon after my info arrived. Maybe we all have this in common?

I received TWO of this calls yesterday. Jeez.

Herc.

Thanks for the responses. I have never had someone call me like that before. When I asked how I got "chosen" they said it was my last visit to the resort. But I have never stayed there so then they got huffy and said " Do you understand the deal you are getting? It is by invitation only!" Oh well they have stopped calling after I stopped answering.

If it's RAMADA PLAZA RESORTS that called you, it's a scam. The Ramada parent company doesn't have anything to do with the scam. The link below shows other people who have been taken:
