non disney hotel ?

My wife and I are going down in early March for a business conference and will be staying at BLT. We can get airfare alot cheaper going down a day earlier than our BLT ressies start and we are out of points, so we will need to stay at a hotel around Disney.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Not looking for anything special, but dont want a hole in the wall either.

check out hotels.com they have quite a selection of places including some disney ones depending on when you are going. We stayed at a place out on Vineland. It was a two bedroom condo type for less than $100 but I can't find the link to the resort now. There are a few on Palm parkway that are also good.

How about Swan or Dolphin? Or one of the DTD hotels?

For just a hotel night stay, how about one of the on property All-Star resorts?

Holiday Inn Express just outside Hotel Plaza drive on Palm Parkway. Behind Olive Garden. 90$ Disney partner hotel so there is a shuttle provided. Great full breakfast. Good staff. Good size rooms. Stayed there last night to go to Tampa today for the Outback bowl. Called to check on a value level on site and it was $195

For one night, we've often done All Stars or POP - especially since you then get Disney's Magical Express.

If flying in late, nothing beat the Hyatt at the airport. Walking from the plane to your bed is great! Also, if you have a Disney reservation, DME will still take you as you are still coming from the airport.

I vote All Stars or Pop. I have done this a few times and its easy enough to transfer your belongings to another resort.
