We need a one or two night stay at a decent hotel- Blizzard Beach is the only park we will go to, looking for a Hampton Inn quality or better-any suggestions?

Blizzard Beach is in the Disney-MGM Studios area, so the closest non-Disney hotel will be on I-192. You want to look for hotels that are in the "Maingate" area.

You can also look for hotels on Palm Parkway near Downtown Disney, but it looks like those hotels are a bit further away.

Any of the hotels in the DTD would be okay. There really isn't an offsite area that is located right outside BB. So, I guess the non-disney onsite hotels would be the next best bet.

Isn't Blizzard Beach closer to Animal Kingdom? I'd think the west disney 192 area would be the easiest. From DTD you have to drive past everything, right?

It's Typhoon Lagoon that's close to DTD.

Looking at this map, it probably doesn't matter much. I was just thinking that west 192, coming in on Sherberth road (not on the map, but to the right of AK) would be the easiest. I don't know any hotels near there, though LOL.

I would check on the Comfort Suites Maingate (not Maingate East, that's the one behind Old Town). You should be able to get a decent price for it on the Choicehotels.com website, and you can use the Sherbeth Rd shortcut to get to BB.

the closest hotel non-WDW is Holiday Inn West - READ THE REVIEWS.....they are changing this hotel - but it needs work.

the closest timeshare is Silver Lake.

the closest hotel is one of the All Stars or CSR.

BB is closer to AK, and TL is right across (sort of) from DTD. In all honesty, once on WDW property it does only seem to take a matter of minutes to get from one end to the other. So, anything right outside the WDW property wouldn't be bad. Also, have you thought of maybe staying at the Swan or Dolphin-- gorgeous resorts.
