My mother and sister live about 1 hr from Disney. They really have no desire to visit the parks - can you believe that one - lol?? Anyway, can they meet us at Downtown Disney for a meal at DD?

Am I allowed to bring them back to my resort for the evening? Can I bring them for a meal at one of the hotels?

Thanks in advance for you help. Have a nice night.

Yes, to all of your questions. Enjoy your trip!:D

Sure. People who are staying off property or live in Florida are welcome at DD and any of the resort restaurants. You can have guests in your room, but if you invite them to stay overnight in your room, they should be registered at the front desk (for fire safety purposes, and of course to pay any additional charges if over 2 adults).

I believe the appropriate protocol is to ask the front desk if it's OK for them to use the pool or other facilities like that, if they're interested.

We have had the same situation... my in laws live a couple hours away from WDW, but they usually don't want to pay to go in the parks. We always enjoy a day with them, just hanging out at the resort, having dinner, etc. It always works out nicely. Enjoy your trip!
