I want to fly down to orlando using jet blue. I will be staying in the all star hotel at disney. My question: Will i still be able to use the airport bus service (magic express) ? Or will i need to find my own way to the hotel without using a "disney" flight?

No one here (I assume) has any idea what you mean by a "Disney flight." Disney's Magical Express (DME) is a perk given to people who fly in on ANY airline and are staying at a Disney owned-and-operated resort, such as the All-Stars. You don't have to book a "package," you don't have to book airfare through Disney, etc.

You absolutely meet the criteria to use DME.

If you have any other questions, please post them. There are a lot of people on this board who have experience with and knowledge about DME.

You do not have to be using any special "Disney" airline or flight to use Magical Express. Not only can you use ME to get from airport to resort and from resort back to the airport at the end of your stay, but you can also have them transport your luggage from the airport to the resort. When you call and book the transportation, you will be sent the special luggage tags for this purpose. Since Jet Blue does not participate in the resort check-in program, when you return to the airport at the end of your stay, you will have to carry your luggage to the bus and retrieve it at the airport so you can check it yourself. This is really the only difference for those using airlines that do not participate in the resort check-in program.

JetBlue absolutely is one of the DME "participating airlines," so the OP can use Resort Airline Check-In upon departure from the resort on the way back to the airport.

What this means for you, OP, is that at the end of your vacation, you can check your luggage in at at special spot in your resort's main lobby, and they will handle your checked luggage from there. You won't see it again until you see it on your home airport's baggage claim carousel. Using Resort Airline Check-In, you can also actually check in for your flight and get your baording passes. Luggage must be checked in a minimum of 3 hours before the flight time. The Resort Airline Check-In desks (one at each Disney resort) are open from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. daily.

so does this mean you can use dme even if you are flying a non designated dme participating airline (us airways)?

The difference only matters on the return trip to the airport. If it is a non designated airline, then you can't check your bags at the hotel. You will need to bring the bags to the bus and then get them checked in at the airport. If you are flying on one of the particiating airlines, you can bring your bags to the ME desk at the hotel, and they will then deal with them from there. Other than that, the airline you fly does not matter.

Under the new rules you must have a DME reservation set up before your arrival at MCO or you will not be able to use DME to get to your resort or have your bags transferred.
