non-Disney design help needed

My 3 year old son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes on October 16th, 2009. We've started a team for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) Walk to Cure Diabetes. We're needing a design for our team shirt and I have no idea where to start. It needs to be something cute and catchy. Our team name is Steps for Sloan. I'm thinkign of maybe having a sketch of him on it somewhere, but not sure. I'm also wanting the JDRF logo on it somewhere. If anyone would be willing to help me with this I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

I really like that! I'm also wanting something about "because insulin isn't a cure"

Does anyone know how to turn a photo into a sketch or cartoon character? I've got the perfect pitcture of Sloan to put on the shirts. (I am doign a front and back design for the shirts.)

Thanks so much for that design! It's awesome! I love the coloring of the Steps for Sloan.
