Has anyone used a non-denominational officiant? DF and I are different religions and we feel this would be most comfortable for both families. Thanks!

We are using a non-denominational officiant. Ron Rosenzweig will be marrying us in November. Every conversation with him has been wonderful and he does everything he can to make the ceremony about the couple. And he is making everyone happy...which is difficult to do with families wanting different things. Good luck!

Jack Day is doing our wedding. He is non-denominational.

I'm pretty sure all of the officiants recommended by Disney will do a non-denominational ceremony if that is what you want.

We used Rev. Kevin Knox and he was great!

Hi everyone, thanks for the advice. I'm afraid I was unclear. What I meant was that my family is Christian and DF is Jewish and none of us are religious so we wanted someone not affiliated with any religion, such as a judge. Does anyone know of someone we could use?

I don't believe any of the officiants are affiliated with any one church/religion. Many of them are ordained ministers so that they can offer that type of ceremony if it is requested, but are licensed and capable of performing non-religious, civil cermemonies as well.

Rev. Kevin and his wife are wedding officiants/notaries and are licensed to perform weddings in Florida.

Rev. Jack Days' website clearly states that while he is an ordained minister, he is "non-denominational" and will do inter-faith or civil ceremonies.

Ron Rosenzwieg is a notary and is licensed to perfom weddings in Florida.

Rev. Tim Herrings site appears to be down, but, I'm sure he is also able and willing to perform civil ceremonies as well.

Both my DF and I are not very religious and we didn't know which one to choose, so we decided to have someone we both do it. I've asked my WP and she said it was ok, we're going to have my Great Uncle perform the ceremony! We just have to have him ordained to do so! We both love him and think that we'd prefer to have someone that knew us be the one that marry us!

I love the idea of having someone you know officiate the wedding! Ron Rosenzweig is who we are using and he was the perfect match because he is non-denominational...however, he is jewish and that make the DF's family very happy. And he's not a rabbi, so my family doesn't feel slighted. It's a match made in heaven!

Pretty much all of the Disney Officiants on the list are non-denominational. You can make your ceremony as religious or not religious as you want.

We had Ron officiate our wedding in July. I loved the ceremony and the different "ceremonies within the ceremony" that he gave us to choose from. (art of marriage, rose ceremony, family inclusion etc.) It really helped us to customize our ceremony to suit us. (Ok - how many times did I write ceremony in this paragraph?) :lmao:
