Non-character breakfast at Trattoria?

Two questions:

Does Trattoria still offer the option of a non-character breakfast? If we have an ADR for the Bon Voyage Character Breakfast, can we request the non-character option at check-in?

Thanks!

The two Princesses & their Princes walk throughout the dining rooms.

You can always request they skip your table, but there is not going to be a dining room where they do not pass through.

I hope this helps.

I remember a post asking about changing from Candlelight Processional to non-CP. Perhaps that is what you are remembering instead of non-character?

When Trattoria began offering the Bon Voyage breakfast, it also offered an option for a non-character breakfast. Seating for that was on the patio or a separate area inside. Breakfast items could be ordered ala carte. At that time some diners indicated that the non-character breakfast was for walk-ups only; others said it could be requested at check-in for an ADR.

I am just wondering if anyone has any recent experiences at Trattoria breakfast.

Cool. It's been far too long since my last visit so I'm not up on all of the details. Was just trying to pull in info for you from folks who might have the knowledge needed. Will be interested to hear! :)

I think demand for the breakfast has been high enough they no longer offer any other option. By all reports, it is one of the better character breakfasts.

We just ate here for breakfast in December 2017. I don't know if you can request a non-character experience or not. You could probably tell your server you don't want them to visit your table, but there will be a rather loud announcement about a royal procession and then they will lead the kids around the restaurant...

Thanks for the recent experiences. Sounds like the non-character breakfast is no longer an option. I have nothing against princesses and princes (obviously!); I was just curious about Trattoria’s possible options. Thanks for the feedback!

That's too bad. I liked ordering a la carte from Trattoria for breakfast. I'm not interested in a character breakfast so I guess that's off the table now for us. Which is sad given that we'll probably be staying at either BWI or BC on our coming trip and it would be very convenient.

The non-character option must be available at least some of the time. We did the character breakfast two weeks ago. At that time, they were seating those just doing breakfast in the smallish room at the far end of the restaurant. During the week we were there, it appeared they were seating breakfast-only dinners in that location every day. Also, when we checked in, they asked us which breakfast option we wanted. In fact, the hostess appeared to be somewhat surprised that a senior couple wanted to do the character meal, although it seemed to me that there were at least some other couples there.

Whether the non-character breakfast is available every day may be dependent on how busy the resorts are. We were there after the middle of January, so well past the marathon weekend crowds.
