how do you know which non alcohlic special drinks are included? Do the kids have to get milk or juice with their quick service meal or can they get a buzz drink or milk shake. Or can they get a mickey drink or buzz drink with their table service meal? Or is the drink included but not the special cup?

I’ve just been looking at menus and trying to figure out what exactly is included.

Any guidance on this is appreciated. We don’t go till next year so I know a lot can change in that time.

If there is no special drink on the kids menu then they have to get a regular drink. The reports back have said this was their experience

Very disappointing

That is disappointing. Do you know if soft drinks are included in the quick service kid meals. It seems like it’s basically water, milk or juice. My 8yr old (will be 9 when we go). Knows he is allowed sprite when on vacation so I know that will be his first choice

Sodas are definitely included, but you have to ask. For that matter, asking for a specialty is always a good choice too. If you don't ask, they won't offer, but if you ask, they may let you. But I know sodas are included for sure.

I know I have read elsewhere that usually the specialty drinks were not included in kids meals but personally I think it is pretty pathetic that alcohol is included but they won't give kids a specialty drink.

I could be wrong but I think QS credits are pooled? Could the 9 year old order an adult QS meal (if that menu appeals to him) and then receive the non-alcoholic specialty drink such as a slushy or whatever? I know with TS you can’t but for some reason I thought you could with the QS meals.

I have no idea this is our first time using the plan and the last time I stayed on property was over 20yrs ago maybe even 25yrs. I was maybe 9-10yrs old.
Just trying to figure out how things work before we go

I’m pretty sure that could be an option for you but hopefully someone will chime in that’s 100% sure to confirm. Enjoy your trip!

Yes, at least right now, QS credits are not distinguished, so you can order adult QS meals with a kid's credit and that would give you any non-alcoholic drink on the menu.

The reason that kids can’t get the specialty drinks is it isn’t on the kids menu.

If you use a qs credit on an adult meal then you would be able to get a specialty drink. Go for it!

Disappointing for sure :sad2: When you read what’s included on Disney’s website it makes it seem that anyone could order any non-alcoholic specialty drink except those that come with a souvenir cup.

I know they get away with it by saying “where offered” but almost anyone reading that would take it to mean “offered” at that restaurant, not “offered” specifically on the kids menu.

They made such a big deal about adding these “specialty” drinks to the plan this year (still haven’t found a “premium” hot chocolate) and then don’t let the kids order them. I’m also not sure if any of the non-alcoholic offerings are even new this year and weren’t included before.

Oh well. We don’t have to buy the plan if we don’t like it, right? :rotfl:

I agree with you. Sometimes when we go out to eat and Mommy and Daddy get an "adult beverage" we get DS who is 4 a special "kid beverage"!
