Noisy rooms?

Hi everyone!

Just found out [good news] that we were upgraded for the Jan. 22 Eastern from a Cat 12 GTY to a Cat 10. [Bad news] we're in rooms 2541, 2543, and 2545, which seem to be under the clubs and earmarked as noisy for several reasons.

Last time we cruised, we were in a Cat 11 on deck 7 and enjoyed it very much. I'm thrilled for the split bathroom, but is the noise factor and location something to worry over?

We're six adults, no kids, and basically night owls . . . though we do have some early mornings planned.

Is there any value in trying to add a notation to the file that we'd prefer to relocate? Does that ever work? (I know upgrades/changes do happen in port). Or, as asked before in other threads, should I just celebrate getting the split bathroom and try not to worry too much?

Thanks for your help!
Julie

Quick followup. Our cruise is sold out - so it looks like we'll probably have to learn to love it! Reservation agent suggested it can't hurt to inquire at check-in, just in case.

I did find another recent thread about these same rooms with somewhat positive news. Of course, any additional words of advice still welcome. :D

Thanks!

We were in 2004 last year.....earmarked as a noisy room. It was the BEST cabin we have had yet, and I have requested it for ALL future cruises. We heard some noise from the anchors in the mornings on port days. That was it. The room was LARGER than other.....significantly so. Enough so that we had space for the crib which we were able to keep up all the time and not put away each morning.
