Those of you who got the "noisy" rooms on the 2nd floor, how noisy were they? Disney is holding connecting rooms for us #2594-#2596 on the Wonder for next year . I saw on Dave's site that they fall under the "noisy" rooms list. I really want connecting rooms and really need to stay within the Cat. 9 price range. But I also want to be able to sleep .

We recently stayed in 2592 (right next door to 2594) a Category 9 Oceanview cabin. On the first night I was kept awake until after 2 a.m. with noise from above. It sounded like they were moving furniture and clanging pots and pans together. The second night wasn't as bad (maybe I was just too tired to notice) but the 3rd and 4th nights the noise was back. Plus what sounded like carts going up and down the halls.

This is certainly not what I expected from an oceanview cabin. My in-laws had an inside on deck 6 (can't remember exactly) and they had a super quiet room.

We just got back yesterday and we stayed in these two rooms. Our daughter and son-in-law had 2594 and we had 2596. We had no noise at all in our cabin except for a bang when docking. Our daughter and son-in-law had a low rumble. It wasn't anything that was bothersome. It didn't bother our sleeping at all. We had a wonderful view and the rooms really were very good. We had a great time. We would book these rooms again without any problem.

We have similar concerns over adjoining rooms 2646-2648.

They are under the "noisy" section.

My plan is to exhaust ourselves so the only thing I hear is snoring.

We have never been on a DC, but have just booked adjoining rooms on deck 5 for next year, 4/2004. Our agent booked us into the "coveted" category 10 rooms known as the secret porthole rooms (5522, 5524, 5022, 5024). From everything we've read and heard, these rooms are GREAT. We were worried about noise from the nearby elevators and stairs, but many seasoned DCL travelers have told us that Deck 5 is great and they've never noticed any noise. Remember that category 10 is CHEAPER.

We've been in 5520 multiple times, and we've never noticed noise from the elevators. The only sounds are because you are at the head of a deadend hallway, so everyone with a room down there will pass by your stateroom. But you can have a lot of traffic in almost any part of the ship...it is not bad and definitely does not outweigh the benefit of the "free" porthole. :D

We just came back from the 3/22 Magic, and we also had adjoining cat. 9 rooms on the "noisy list" (2030, 2032). I tried very hard to hear the noise from the Rockin' Bar D - nada. I was awakened many times by kids running up and down the hall, however. We also heard noise when docking, but it was time to wake up anyway. As a previous poster mentioned, we may have been too tired to hear anything anyway.

on first cruise we had 2021 no noise at all, on 2nd cruise we had 2515 noisy until 2 am .
