Does anyone have experience with noise in either of these Cat 3 rooms on the Magic.

We stayed in 8032 on the Wonder and did have some noise from above. There was a ping pong table outside of Common Grounds and we could hear people playing late at night. It was only a minor annoyance.

Just wondering what other people's experiences were.

We were in 8032 on the Magic, and every now and then heard a ping pong ball, but never late at night, usually in the afternoon.

Generally speaking ti was very quiet.

Thanks for the input Anne.

Bump for anyone else with input.

We had room #8532 on the Wonder. We did have some noise early in the morning when they were setting up for the day. Chairs dragging across the floor above us, that sort of noise. I would not let it stop me from booking this room again, the room was fantastic! Have a great trip!

Thanks motherhen 17404.....

Since my youngest will be 16 at the time we cruise, I really don't think that the noise will be much of a problem. I might re-think it if we had little ones. I, personally, don't plan on being in the room much. Hope I don't keep anyone awake!;)

I've been right next door in 8034, and the noise during the deck party was the worst, we heard every bit of that...loudly...until midnight. At other times it was just some running or ping pong above, not that bad.

Michelle, were you in #8036? I'm trying to stick with #8032 or #8532 because I'm afraid #8034 and #8534 are closer to being under the stage for the evening parties. I would think #8036 and #8536, while not under the stage, they would be directly to the side of the stage.

No, I was in 8034, a Cat. 3, in Dec. 2001. 8032 might be better; 8034 was directly under the stage for the deck parties.

It was only an issue for us because that was St. Maarten night and we had to be up EARLY the next morning for the St. Thomas immigration procedure. Pretty scary with a tired kid.

We went to the party for a little while, but didn't stay to the end, so we were in the room before it was over, and didn't have any problems. 8032 is more under Common Grounds then the stage, so that helps.

Thanks for all the input. I booked #8532. Since we have already been in #8032, I thought we would try the other side of the ship.

My guess is the noise in either of these will be tolerable for us.
