Noise from speedway at Poly????

I have heard that some quests at the Poly have complained about this. Is it just a rumor or did anyone really experience this? Does the speedway operate all year round?

I have to say that we never heard any noise from the Speedway when we stayed at the Polynesian. It was in the summer and I'm not sure if there was anything going on at the speedway. But never heard anything.

Years ago when the Indy Cars (IRL) raced at the Speedway you could definitely hear them at the Poly, the whine of the engines isn't something one could ever forget. They no longer race at WDW.

I have never heard the Richard Petty cars (NASCAR) over at the Resort.
