That actually sounds like fun to go bowling! We like to bowl (more on the Wii but also in regular too. hmmmm.....might have to talk to family about that if you don't mind competition for that furthest traveled to bowl award!

You're in Tennessee, I'm in north Alabama; it's going to matter whether you count distance traveled (you are farther away from Orlando - but then I drive 2 hours to get to the Nashville airport, so that counts in my travel miles).

Well, I've managed to narrow my excursion choices down a bit. Haven't figured out Madeira yet - too many interesting choices.

Barcelona - Barcelona and Freizenet Cellars
Gibraltar - hiring a taxi/van with some of you
Cadiz - Taste of Cadiz & Jerez

Madeira - probably one of the following:
Madeira Caves and North Coast
Madeira Culture and History
Unforgettable West Madeira

Once I actually book on Jan. 10th, I'll post or pm the info for the website.

Hope I get the ones I want. Guess I better have a second choice lined up just in case.

Kristi, most of your choices are the same as my choices. The only one I didn't have was in Madeira-the Culture and History one. Also don't forget that Madeira is having a flower festival the day/weekend we're there. I was kinda hoping to see the inside of Sagrada Familia but I guess most tours just are outside. I would like to hire a van with someone in Gibralter, too.

We live in Jackson, TN which means we have you beat - it takes us 2.5 hours to drive to the nashville airport! For the cruise though we are actually taking the regional flight from Jackson to Nashville so we will not be driving this time (normally we do ) We are on the 6:30 am flight on Northwest on Wed to MCO so we are flying in the night before.

Welcome! We will be traveling with a 12 yo boy who will turn 13 on the cruise so I know what you mean about the dining times and friends! If you are looking for table mates let me know - would love to connect up with some others on main dining.

That's why I dropped DCL air and bought my own...not knowing which carrier or the schedule. Probably would have had better flights with DCL (Delta flies BCN to Atlanta - and could have picked up a flight home from there), but the uncertainty drove me crazy. Did save $200 pp in the end and got all the way home (DCL would have left me in Nashville, then I'd have 2 hours of driving).

who did you book with to get home? BTW, I grew up in Athens, and my granparents live in H'ville for 30 years.

I went with Aer Lingus Barcelona 10:45 am - layover 1.5 hrs Dublin - arrive Boston 4:00pm. Then Delta 6:30 - through Atlanta - arrive Huntsville 10:40 pm. Long day.

Booked the flights at the 5+ month point (Nov 27 for May 5); the prices went down just before Christmas by about $10 pp. (My fares are $445 + $135)

You may want to do a weekly check this year to see what the prices do and assume they will do the same next year.

Some others are using Air Berlin; I think the biggest boon for this is the luggage allowance / fees.

...Are the kids triplets?

Okay need some help with our excursions.

** Madeira: We probably going to do Madeira on our own.
Unless somebody can recommend a great Madeira excursion to do.

** Cadiz: We want to go on the Jerez and Arcos de la Fronterra tour. And after or before the tour we want to do a bit of Cadiz on our own.
Can somebody Gold or Platinum CC member check for me the time this tour leaves and if there is still availability??

** Gibraltar: We want to do this on our own, or with a group of Dissers sharing a cab or something. We want to see the Rock, Apes and the Tunnels.
Are the Great Siege Tunnels other tunnels then the WWII Tunnels???
I thought that you could only visit the Tunnels when you are on a Disney Tour, is this true??
What is going to be the difference between a DCL: Tour and doing it on our own??

What made you choose the company Barcelona Segway Glides??
What do they do different or made you feel more comfertable??

I found these companies and they just all look the same to me, except from some age difference (some even from 10 years and up) and some weight difference (not much around 10 pounds). Also there is some price difference but that is so minor that i don't look at the pricing.

Boy this thread is moving quickly and I can't keep up.

First day of school here for the kids since relocating. Already cleared older girls trips with high school and my sons trip with the elmentary. Today I am going to talk to the elementary school and see if they won't give time off to my youngest princesses so I might book them and dh for the TA.

Not feeling extremely hopeful but going to give it my best shot nonetheless.
Now in possession of a Xyron and was very excited to try it. Hoping to get working on some magnets this week.
