Hi there - must admit that some of the conversations are confusing to me too (and I've known Jackie since 2004, Ian since 2006, the others since 2007) :rotfl:

I would love to make my overnight (or 2) in London but the cost to fly back into Orlando from there is alot more $$. Where in Fl are you?

Not sure if you want to share the AF story - but I'd be more than interested in knowing about it.

I live in Jax. So I always have to go through Atlanta :sad2:

AF story - picture it - March 2008 - lovely trip to Ireland and England planned with a group. Tour company put 6 of us on an AF flight that changed planes in Paris. Plane had a problem and we were delayed by two hours or so. So of course we miss our connection. Bad part was that AF told us in Atlanta they would be reworking our connections - yeah right. The only other flight to Shannon was that evening and was full. They finally bumped 4 people and told 2 of us that we were waitlisted. When I asked if we would get a seat, I was told we would - yeah right. We didn't get the seats and had to go to a hotel (on AF) for the night. Taxi met us in Shannon to take us to the hotel (2 hours away). That night, when I unpacked - everything in one corner was soaking wet. Fortunately, the hotel had a washer/dryer combo so I could get them dry.
Flight home - 6:40am London - we arrived at 4:30. Counter didn't open until 5am - with over 200 people in line!!!! We got checked in at 6:10. We made the plane, our luggage did not. 3 Days later they bring my luggage to my house. 2 Days later I unpack - everything on the OTHER side was soaking wet!!!
When I googled AF luggage - I found plenty of complaints. One person posted that he heard from luggage handlers at one airport that AF luggage people will deliberately rerout luggage to protest working conditions. I have no doubt that the AF luggage handlers poured water on my luggage.
No compensation from AF for any of the trouble either. The stewards were rude too.

That's one reason I am doing to EBTA so that I don't have to worry about getting my clothes TO the ship. ;)

well am i 30000000000

Your pirate name please...."Captain ?" pirate:

PS - I'm heading to Germany tomorrow on business for a week - so I'll update the Pirates when I get home. Based on this rate - you'll probably hit 700 before I can get back online!!!! :scared1:

Hello everyone. It's been a while since I've posted but I had to cancel our Repo cruise. I am so devastated. My husband feels the price for the flight home is just way too much for our family of four!! We have, however rebooked for a Disney cruise this summer. I was really looking forward to meeting you all!!
Donyale :-(

We have made a few changes too. I cancelled my cash ressie in a Cat 6 and booked a DVC ressie in Cat 10. Of course it took 2 years of points, but now the only cash I have to come up with is airfare home. I am hoping it comes down in the next 12 months.

Sorry we won't see you Donyale

If you don't like it, don't play.

At least someone took the initiative rather than try and tear down others' efforts.

I'll take that over :snooty: any day, thank you.

I have to agree with you. My experiences on Air France have not been good.

Oh, that was you. I thought I heard a noise. I'll go back to my book. Let me know if there's a change in status. I might be pleased.

Quick question - have been looking at a thread about FE Gifts and my mind is flowing BUT have no idea of how many are even possibly on the cruise. I looked at the first page for the FE list but I know she is still working on it (because I am not listed) but I did not know if I missed an announcement or anything of how many we may have participating at this point (and I tried the web site but know some have dropped out)

AND yes I know we are still more than a year out - so I am not doing an exact count but was just wondering if there was some place I can get a round about number at this point. And I am not trying to rush anyone - just wandering :) When I count on the web site I gt 123 total cruisers but from the number that I am seeing here is way way less.

so any specualtion?

I don't recall an announcement, but then I might be getting my cruises mixed up.

On the Panama Canal Cruise (a 14-nighter) we were divided up into teams, and each team had a day for the cruise and did gift distribution for that day.

It was up to each team to come up with the goody or goodies dispensed. It was a lot of fun.

Krisann....WAY too early to even guess...plan on a lot! :lmao:

where's that drumming fingers smilie?

:bored: :bored: :bored: Monica, Monica.....where aret thou?

Yes I was there :) and on a team - and I will be glad to participate again on a team but also want to do something small for everyone on my own just because I am a crafty person and want to give back this cruise as I did not do really well on my other ones and got so many cool gifts. I am doing the Secret Mickey also for all four of us - so maybe I will just think that about right now and leave the FE gifts till closer till the cruise :)
