Nobby's Gnomies... heading to WDW in April 2010

I can't keep up either we can be lost together lOL!!!! Come on in for a few chica!!

And my conscience is getting the better of me...it might not have been LL...it might have been another say Gone with the Wind Fanatic who lives just down the border from you...okay enough said who am I to point fingers LOL

Okay Lost on Safari...get in here LOL!

Oh, you are so bad, Jen, passing the blame like that! :lmao:

I had a lovely dream last night my dear gnomies :goodvibes

We went on our vacation to Michigan and stopped at Disney in Chicago on the way there. We planned to only spend 1 day there but when we arrived, I found all of you there and Greg told me to have fun and they would pick me up in a week :lmao:

Off to swimming lessons. Have a great day!!!!!!!

Gnomies! I had the WORST NIGHT EVER. :headache:

After chat last night, I was watching a movie in my bedroom. Marc was working last night. It was almost 2AM and all of a sudden I hear KNOCKING on our door! :scared1::scared1: I literally flipped out. I turned down the tv, grabbed the phone and just sat listening. THEN I heard it again...I called Marc's cell phone and whispered to him what was going on. I came out into the living room and looked through the peep hole, no one was there. BUT I know I heard the knocking. Then I heard this car outside leaving and I peeked out and it looked like the security guard car at the gate of our complex. But I am not sure. I was flipping out! It was so scary.

Needless to say....I didn't fall asleep until almost 4AM. :headache: Then I proceeded to have nightmares about robberies and break ins.

I'm exhausted and so scared to stay alone again. :headache:

Oh, LL! That would have freaked me out completely, too! How scary!

Maybe it was someone who had the wrong apartment number? :confused3

I don't know! Or maybe someone thought my tv was too loud. My concern is that our building is locked so if it was someone with the wrong apt. #, how did they get in?? :confused3

Oh LL  What a terrible experience!! Hopefully is was just the security guard and not a big deal (but couldn't they have called instead of knocking on your door?) I hope you get a chance to nap today, you are probably exhausted. Emotional distress like that is so tiring!

In 1996 I did an internship with the national park service. I was provided a trailer in a small living area behind the visitor center. This was before the days of cell phones and I didn't have a phone in my trailer. One night I woke up to the sound of footsteps crunching in the snow outside of my bedroom. I was scared crapless and couldn't even bring myself to look outside. the next morning I found bobcats tracks in the snow. Yep, I flipped out over a big kitty :lmao:

I tend to freak myself out a lot at night but over silly things, like the cats playing with something.
I tried looking for a phone # for the security booth but I couldn't find one. I am just going to pretend it was them for my sanity.

Oh! I would have been freaking out Katie! Silly bobcat!

That's really weird!
It is!

Oh Katie what a great dream!!!!!!:cool1:

LL:hug: What a scary night, no matter what it was I'm glad you were safe!! Things like that freak me out all the time which is why I sleep with the tv on and on the couch when Phillip is away and last night I didn't bother even going to bed until he came back home LOL!!! SO I completely understand!!!! BIG HUGS

R U updating today???

Gnomies! I have lost track of time. I had no idea the latest Harry Potter movie was coming out this week. :yay: Is it wrong that a 30-ahem-something woman wants to skip work on Wednesday to see it?! ;)

LL= that does sound like a scary evening.

Speaking of updates... would like one from all of you who have PTRs/TRs going. :upsidedow And those of you who dont' should start one. :rolleyes1

Hope you all are having a good Saturday!! :)

Hehehe. I just updated!

Katie...The Holiday is on again.

I don't know when I'll go to see HP. I think I might wait a few weeks. So very unlike me.

:headache: DOH! I missed The Holiday? :guilty: Oh well, just now flipping though I found The Wedding Singer...love that movie too! "not porno tongue, church tongue" :lmao:

Please keep the good job vibes headed my way gnomies!! I applied for another job today that I am really excited about! It's at a different university (about 50 miles from my house in the town where I grew up) coordinating the Science Bound program. The program is intended to identify middle school students with math and science potential and get them involved in enrichment programs with the hope to recruit them when they reach college age. There are several high schools that the program partners with, including the one that Greg works at.

I think I can be really competitive for this job and it's right up my alley! My concerns are that the closing date isn't for another 12 days and what if I get offered the part-time job I'm interviewing for next week? Also, you never know who else is a candidate. This type of program may easily have someone who has been an assistant of some type who they plan on moving into the coordinator position and advertising is simply a formality.

Oh well, I'm going for it and will see what happens!

 And because I so love puting my cart before the horse, we are going Monday to look at another house  From the initial picture, I didn't have the same reaction as I did to the last house (but we know how that one turned out) but it looks pretty nice and it is in a wonderful, quiet and secluded neighborhood (with lots of kids, the last house didn't). It sits on 1/2 acre at the end of the road adjacent to a row of trees at the edge of a farm field. It has more finished space than the last one we looked at and has a nice looking sunroom on the south side of the house (it appeared well shaded today by deciduous trees so it would be wonderfully sunny in the winter) It's 30 years old so we will see what the condition is on Monday.

Is everyone enjoying their weekend? I am coloring my hair trying to banish some of these pesky grey hairs that keep showing up. The nerve! :snooty:

Katie, I hope everything works out with the new job you applied for. Sounds like a really interesting position!

We just finished watching Paul Blart Mall Cop. Meh. It was okay, I thought it would be more funny. The coolest part is that it was filmed at a mall that Marc & I frequent, so it's neat to see the places where we have been in a movie. They had a great scene in the Rainforest Cafe!

I agree!! "All the Right Moves" with Tom Cruise was filmed in my hometown :goodvibes my DH was an 'extra' as a spectator at the football game. The movie producers put out a call for extras in the local paper in order to fill up the stands. They were paid in free hotdogs:rotfl2: My mom wouldn't let me go :( which was totally NOT fair!! But I did watch them film one scene...from a distance at a house down the street:woohoo:

katie...good luck with the interviews!! If you don't have to sign a contract with the part time position, you could accept and see what happens. i'm sure they'd understand that a better full time position came available!

I finished my digital scrapbook today... and organized all my digital pics/uploaded them/cleared my cameras. Yay!! I'm all set to take pics tomarrow at Tyler's baptism now!

nite gals!
