Jackie, Jen, LL & any one else worrying - I'm procrastinating this morning and just heard on the Today show that signs are showing that swine flu may be no more serious that the regular seasonal flu. There will be deaths (as there are with seasonal flu) but it is "encouraging news" according to the health official. So I think rigorous handwashing plus Purell/Germ-x = a happy Disney vacation!!

BTW- Jackie - how is the weather? Is it done storming in GA yet??

Christine, that is heartening news about the swine flu! Nope, it is not done storming here yet. Another round of severe weather is forecast for today. Yesterday, we had tornado sirens going off again. I am so emotionally battered by all of this. I really don't want to live here anymore.

Yes, Florida has tornado warnings as well.

I really can't begin to tell you how over this weather I am -- I can't even enjoy planning or anything when I am constantly worried about the weather.

Well that stinks. I guess there is a price to pay no matter where you live whether it is snow, tornados or earthquakes. As I said, I think I'm going to take the snow.

Good news about the swine flu! They said on the news last night that the hospital in town sent something like 37 more samples for testing yesterday from people coming to the hospital with possible swine flu symptoms (of course they will not all come back positive but it sure is interesting)

Jackie, that sucks about your weather! I was just watching the weather and they were commenting about how the position of the jet stream is pretty far south right now and it is steering all the systems right toward you. Hang in there!

I am very excited to have gotten a 9:00 appointment with the chiropractor. Hopefully he can give me some relief for my back!! LL did you call the doctor yet? DO IT NOW!!!!

Yes, I did call the doctor. I called right at 8:30 when they opened. I have an appointment for tomorrow morning at 8:45. I was shocked that they could get me right in because of all the problems with securing an appointment when I was having month long periods. I guess I won't be talking to the nurses anymore, just the people who answer the phones.

My weekend and yesterday were wonderful! Great weather!! This morning my daughter woke up to her brand new purple and gold Bratz bike and she was SOO HAPPY!! She's 6 this morning and so excited. We brought in cupcakes for her class, she opened new clothes so she could pick her birthday outfit, and she opened 1 of her presents from her Cali Grandma & played some "pet pals" on her Leapster before school. Today she'll get a birthday crown from her teacher, a birthday ribbon and pencil from the office. She's beyond the moon today! So am I .... 6 years ago today I gave birth to the best little girl I could get!

I love my chiropractor!!
#1 He popped my hip back and although it is sore, I could feel it go back into place so I know relief is on the way.
#2 He noticed my Mickey watch and told me he has the same one (one of the buy $30 and get the watch for $15 at WDW) so we started talking the mouse. When I told him that I had tried to convince Greg to take our week off from school to go to Florida, he asked me what the hell I was doing in Iowa! Too funny
