Nobby's Gnomies... heading to WDW in April 2010

Was Slumdog Millionaire sad at all? I couldn't decide from the previews if it would make me cry or not.

Is Philippa Gregory the author of the other books you were telling me about? I couldn't remember the author Monday when I was at the library and I was so mad at myself.

Slumdog Millionaire was sad but I didn't cry, and I cry pretty easily at movies. It's heart breaking if that makes sense.

No, she isn't. Alison Weir was the one I was telling you about. Innocent Traitor and The Lady Elizabeth. So good. I was looking online to find some books to go with those and I came across the Philippa Gregory books. The one I am reading is about Katherine of Aragon, Queen Mary's mother. I'm about 50 pages in and I didn't want to put it down to watch the movie. :lmao: I'm way into the historical fiction lately. The next book in Philippa Gregory is The Other Boylen Girl which the movie was based on.

Yes, heartbreaking makes sense -- that's what I was afraid of...

I am writing down those two names so I don't forget them -- I do love historical fiction!

Right now I am reading From Dead to Worse -- the last of the Sookie books before May -- I bought it the other day when I was at Walmart.

They are such good books. I've been loving reading them. I love anything historical though so I shouldn't be surprised.

Okay, I'm off to watch Indiana Jones! :cloud9:

watched "The Women"...bad movie. Didn't like it at all, which is sad since I love Meg Ryan.

I'm bummed to hear this because it is one of the movies I rented at the video store to watch this weekend.

Hmm, If those of us non-DVC gnomies rented points, we could all stay at the same resort :scratchin Something to think about. Our 4 nights at OKW last year was no more expensive ($10 per point) than rack rate would have been at a value or a moderate with a discount

It's 3:14 am and do you know where your mother is? In this case, she's just woken up from having fallen asleep on the couch and is headed to Wal-mart, to get goodies the Easter Bunny neglected to bring.

OTTV.

Hey my Gnomies! My mom, Blake and I are headed to Hershey today to see Hershey Park, the Chocolate Factory and ZooAmerica! I haven't been to Hershey since 1993! Nobby will be tagging along. Hope you all have a wonderful Easter!! :thumbsup2

Say hi to Indy for me! :lmao: I miss my Indiana Jones M and M's from last year.
We got about half way through before we were too exhausted to continue. We are going to finish it this morning. I'm loving it so far!

Sorry Katie! Maybe you will like it. I watched the whole thing, I guess I just expected more. :confused3

Ok guys.... so my middle of the night trip to Wally World only producted a 3-1/2 lb bag of Tootsie Rolls, Tootsie Pops and DOTS, along with some stretchy animals. After everything was arranged in eggs and onto the table, along with Thumbelina doll and a new Bakugan toy....I hit the sack again. I was woken to the sweet voices of my kids as they excitedly discovered their toys and talking while opening the eggs and discovering the different flavored "taffy" as Ebin calls it, and stretchy zoo animals in the eggs. I was really cursing myself last night but this morning it was worth it. They were very eggscited about their goodies and happy with their mythical giant rabbit.

We did our fancy dinner last night with Pasta Shells and salad (dh's fave). We're heading to church in a few hours, thankfully, our church does 5 different services in 2 different locations so we can be lazy!!

Have a great Easter everyone!

And have fun at Hershey, Jess! Sounds like fun! :yay:

There's an idea...

Happy Easter gnomies! :goodvibes

Happy Easter, Gnomies!

Poor Julia! What a middle of the night adventure! So glad it was worth it in the end.

LL, enjoy the rest of Indy today!

Jess, have fun at Hershey Park today!

Hi, Katie and Christine!

Apparently my children woke up at six this morning, but didn't wake us up. The Easter Bunny brought Chelsea a basketful of candy and Breaking Dawn (she is already on page 100), and Connor got a basketful of candy and the new Pokemon DS game. They are quite pleased and already sugared up!

It's my last day of spring break. :(

Happy Easter Everyone!!

The ham is in the crockpot and I'm cutting up potatoes and need to make my triffle! The house is clean for our dinner guests after morning church it looks like all is going well LOL!

I'm sad too Jackie...ughh back to work tomorrow and I have nothing planned. I guess I know what I'm doing tonight when I get home from church. Must plan out the week LOL!! Although its ecology so it shouldn't be that hard LOL!! I also have to get our Honor tea set up and get NHS Inductions started ASAP LOL Don't want to get behind.

Jess...have a great time at Hershey Park!!

Jules glad to hear it paid off to make the midnight run to Wally World!! Have a great Easter with your family!

HOpe all of my gnomies have a great Easter!

CP, I was going to ask you what page she was on! Good for her! I can't wait to hear her reaction to the last book, you will have to PM me when she is finished. :goodvibes

Oh and I loved Indy. I thought it was great, Marc wasn't as happy. I am anxious to see if they continue making them with Shia.

Julez, I am so glad your run to Walmart was worth it.

Jen, your dinner sounds yummy!

Happy Easter, Jen!

Our hash brown casserole is in the oven, and I made homemade blueberry muffins yesterday. MIL is in charge of the egg and sausage casserole. Yummy, yummy, yummy!

I have nothing planned for tomorrow either -- I was only thinking until spring break. I know what I need to start with my 6th and 7th graders, but my 8th graders are finished with EVERYTHING in preparation of their state-mandated test, and I can't start my King Arthur unit for another two weeks. Hmmm, I guess I should figure something out. ;)

I am not even thinking about what needs to be done paperwork wise and such -- too much to contemplate on Easter morning.

I think she didn't wake me up because she was afraid I would take the book away since the Easter Bunny brought it. :rotfl: I won't hear a peep out of her all day I am sure.

I did really like the new Indy -- there were some great lines in it!

Oh, that is just too cute! :lovestruc

I'm reading the trivia about it on imdb right now, very interesting. I didn't know they originally wanted to make 5 Indiana Jones movies...hmmm. :scratchin

I totally agree. I also read that Harrison Ford told reporters in 2006 that if they didn't make the 4th Indy by 2008 then they should just hang it up. I guess that is what got Spielberg moving. :lmao:

Yes, sadly, Harrison Ford is not getting any younger. Sniff, sniff, sniff.

So, what are your plans for today, LL?

Hoppy Easter to my dear Gnomies!!

We have done our hunt and ate breakfast (caramel pull-aparts, bacon and strawberries - Yummy) After church I will put the ham in and mix up the cheesy potatoes. Rolls and asparagus at the last minute and that will be our dinner. I LOVE Easter food more than Thanksgiving!

Yikes Julez, I have waited until the night before (and swore I never would again!) but 3 in the morning :scared1: Glad your kids were happy with it!

Jen and Jackie, sorry you have to start thinking about work again!

I hope you all have a terrific Easter!

I also read that Tom Selleck was going to be Indy but due to scheduling conflicts with Magnum PI had to drop out. Harrison Ford was cast just a few weeks before filming began. Isn't that amazing!? I can't imagine anyone else being Indy.

We don't have any plans today. My family isn't big into Easter and Marc's family goes to the Cape. It's too long of day for Marc to go down there when he has to work tonight. We are having roast chicken for dinner. Marc just went out to return our movies and get some more. I just watched Nights in Rodanthe. Oh my goodness, such a good movie, a real tear jerker. We have watched SIX movies this weekend. We have a redbox rental right down the road, it's $1 per movie per night so we have only spent $6 for hours of entertainment. :lmao: He was also going to stop at Dairy Queen for some Easter Blizzards. ;)
