Nobby's Gnomies... heading to WDW in April 2010

OK, since you asked...

Daniel waiting for the hunt to begin. You can see they used small ziplock bags this year instead of eggs (I guess it's a lot easier to put suckers, smarties, etc in bags)

Let the madness begin! Every year there is a kid in tears because they got there at 10:02 and everything is gone!

Showing off their loot. I was really proud of Patrick after the hunt. A classmate of his was there also and only got 1 bag, Patrick had maybe 8 bags and gave 3 of them to his friend.

And since I was loading pics, I thought I would share with you that I underestimated my hubby...

Yes, that is a refinished fireplace surround. The metal part hasn't been finished yet, we still need an inspection of the chimney before it can be used and the new tile needs to be special ordered BUT he actually finished the wood and got it put back together. I didn't think he would actually do it.

wow katie!! that's really pretty...maybe I could borrow him for a week????:rotfl2:

Great picture of the Easter "Egg" Hunt! Very sweet of Patrick to share his findings!

I LOVE that fireplace- it's beautiful!!! Wow- he really IS handy!

Julez, I am seriously excited for you! I can't wait to hear how everything plans out. :thumbsup2

Katie, the egg hunt looks like fun! I love the fireplace! Good job to your DH!

Thanks for sharing the pictures, Katie! Your boys are absolutely adorable -- more so than I remembered from your TR, if that's possible! How sweet that Patrick shared his treats. What a nice boy!

That fireplace looks amazing. Paula is right... I think you could rent him out. Which would make an interesting gnomefest fundraising event. :rolleyes1

Julez- are you still on "just booked a Disney vacation" high? Can't wait to hear more about your plans!

Hope everyone else is having a great weekend! :upsidedow

Hey C! Any fun plans this weekend??

Marc & I have finally hit the wall. I am so done unpacking boxes it's not even funny. It feels like we still have tons to do though. Bah. Our living room has shaped up very nicely though. :thumbsup2

Hey C-do you still have our favorite Gnome? I don't think that we're going to NY City now, but we are going to go to Hershey, PA if the weather holds out for next saturday. Tickets are oh so cheap ($23 per person, versus $56) for the park, chocolate factory and the zoo!
Do you think you can ship him a week early for me?

By the way, thanks for the CR review! The food looks amazing! :thumbsup2

Unpacking is not especially fun. I'll tell you a secret. I still have boxes I haven't unpacked from my move 6 years ago! I suppose whatever is in them I can toss at this point... ya think?

Share pics of your place when you can. I bet it is gorgeous!

Ummm... I'm sure he's here somewhere. :scared: I will see if I can get him to the post office on Monday or Tuesday... that should have him delivered by Friday. Does that work or do you need him sooner?

That works! I'm sorry for the short notice! We're going on saturday, so even if you put him in the mail on wednesday, he should get here in time!

Yes Yes LL, post pics as soon as you get a chance!! :yay:

And you only have 50 posts left before the big 10,000!! :woohoo:

Thanks C. I was really proud of Patrick for being thoughtful about his friend.

I told Greg that some of my Dis friends want to borrow his services. His first question was do they have big ****s :sad2:, his second question was how much do they pay. I suggested that perhaps Paula could trade his labor for some DVC points. He said no way, he wants cold hard cash.

:lmao: I don't even know what to say to that! :lmao: Cold hard cash it is. I will start saving.

You are raising some very thoughtful young men... that's the most important job in the world. Congrats on doing it so well! :goodvibes

I've been exploring around on the disneyworld.com site. It asked me if I wanted to take a survey. Of course I did! It asked about my opinion of other sites like disboards.com, wdwinfo.com and allears.net. Interesting. Maybe they are starting to take note of these unofficial communities.

I am trying to figure out how free dining compares to the bounceback deal I have already booked. :confused3

Disney planning is so fun! It makes me giddy! :cool1:

I am getting to the point where I will give our cold hard cash for some help unpacking boxes!

I'm proud of us though, we have gotten a lot done. Thank goodness my parents came down today. Marc & My Dad put the table and chairs together. My Mom and I arranged the furniture and put all the decor and finishing touches out. I'm exhausted. We have almost all the boxes out of the living room. I'm not counting the ones I have put in the closet or the ones that are in the bedroom. :rolleyes1

I will probably put some pics up but I still have a few more things I want to get but those will have to wait until payday!

My Mom narrowed it down to two places for her Mother's Day ADR.

You ready??

I need opinions so you all get a special preview.

Hollywood Brown Derby

or

Kona Cafe

Hehehe. She told me to pick one out of those. If I can get both I don't know which to pick. I would love dinner at Hollywood Brown Derby because I could try something new with Jen for lunch and then have my most delicious Salmon Polenta for dinner. :cloud9: But Kona was a great meal too and I'd love to get two apps for my meal, they all sound so yummy!

Sigh. What do I do? :confused3
