Nobby's Gnomies... heading to WDW in April 2010

Stacy...that stinks!! Stupid recession. Hope things pick up for you. Is there another store nearby that you can split your time maybe??

LL...sorry about the lack of sleep...believe me I KNOW how that feels uurrrgghhh!!!:sad2:

Jen (JJ) so glad PP is up and about... silly boy, I would have taken the day off, perfect excuse too:rolleyes:

Did you see that they're making a Toy Story Mania game for the Wii...complete with 3D glasses??? how fun is THAT???!!! I'm Soooo making Kyle move the Wii down to the living room so I can play it!!:yay:

I got my upstairs foyer started. Got the bookcases all cleared off, cleaned, back together, a big bag of trash, and 2 boxes for goodwill.... all in the 1st hour of my day. I hope I continue to be this productive:upsidedow

Paula

WOW...you want to come to my house P????? I have inlaws coming Friday and haven't started yet on the cleaning LOL!

Now TSM would've made me want to KEEP that stupid wii! We got rid of ours last summer, we never played it!

And holy COW on the productivity, Ms. Show-Off! Way to make me feel super lazy!! :rotfl:

Good Morning Gnomies!!!

Thank you for all your well wishes, Prince Phillip is doing good even if he is too stubborn to stay home at least a day and fully recover. He still has a pretty good headache from the inhalation, but he refused to stay home. I told him no more emails about his room being on fire.

Yes, PP should've stayed home today to make sure he was really feeling OK.

hmmmm maybe I shouldn't mention that i've now finished scubbing the walls and woodwork, cleaned all the pictures and nicknacks (scrubbed in the sink;)), washed the light, and used the carpet scrubber...so the upstairs foyer is now ready for the professional carpet cleaners:yay:

I've moved on to the bathroom... I have 1 wall scrubbed, the windows washed, the curtains & shower curtain washed and rehung.....

but right now I'm eating a peanut butter sandwich...LOL!!

Paula

 Ooh, ooh, ooh!!! I may actually start playing the Wii too

Oooooh yeah, I totally forgot!!! I saw your doppleganger the other night!!!! It was sooooooooooo strange!! I was in the grocery store picking up lasagna noodles and there you were!:upsidedow

What the heck is a doppleganger? :confused3

Geesh Paula!! Way to get stuff done. I'm not sure my house has EVER been as clean as you are describing.

How you hanging in there LL? There is an apparent absence here this morning!

Oh, and I agree with those of you who would milk a day off out of Prince Phillips experience

LL is exhausted. I just want to go home and sleep. It doesn't help that it's really warm in here today and that is just making me sleepier.

I think a doppleganger is someone that looks just like you. :confused3

Hello, Gnomies!!! My life is entirely too busy for my liking -- last night, I wasn't even home until nine o'clock. :headache:

Big hugs for Stace, Jen (can't believe that happened to Phillip!), and LL!

Paula, adding my plea for you to come deep clean my house. ;)

I was wondering where you were, CP. I went and checked the weather to see what was going on in your area.

:lmao: More rain -- I am so tired of rain.

I had morning duty at 7:15 the past two mornings. Thank goodness I am done with that. Then, yesterday and today, we have soccer games afterschool. After yesterday's game, we went out to dinner, and I had to go grocery shopping. I was not pleased that I left the house yesterday morning at 6:45 and didn't walk back in until 9:00. Today won't be much better.

That just sounds awful. You are very much like me in not wanting to be out of the house for long periods of time. I hate it when I have so many obligations that I don't get to enjoy my regular down time. :sad2:

I do need down time or I get really stressed and cranky -- I am such a homebody at heart.

Hi gnomies!

Stacy- so sorry about your hours. That stinks. :headache:

LL- I so sympathize with not being able to turn your brain off at night. There oughta be a switch! :rotfl:

CP- also sympathize with being too busy. It seems while I was on vacation people just waited for me to get back rather than trying to do things themselves!:sad2:

Paula- holy productive you are! It would take me a month to do what you got done this morning! And TSM for the Wii... that is reason enough for me to buy the Wii not to mention Wii fit. And of course I'm going to need a flat screen... :rolleyes1

Jen (JJ) - so glad PP is feeling better. I would have totally stayed home today. But he's a manly man... ;)

Hey - are any of you getting friend requests on the DIS? I think it's cool and maybe kind of like Facebook? I just don't know how to use it really and need a tutorial.

Katie - yes, LL is right. A doppleganger is someone who looks exactly like someone else. I could have just said her twin I guess.

The girls I work with, and my mother keep telling me I speak like an old woman!
This is all started because the other day we were talking about Twilight (I'm the only one of the girls who likes it...and I'm the oldest!!), and I was saying that Edward Cullen makes me feel all a-twitter! And then I said "pish tosh" about something else and they laughed at that too!

Well, I hope you all enjoy the rest of your week and are happy and safe. I'm gonna head on over to your country and shop and eat in every Olive Garden I can find! :)

Good Morning Gnomies.

I am exhausted. I was up so early this morning that I had like 20 minutes to play my new obsession Bejeweled Blitz on Facebook. And what am I greeted with when I sign on?! Paula has beat my high score. This is war, Paula! :snooty:

I came into work 30 minutes early today, then tomorrow I will come in an hour early so that I can leave early tomorrow. Then the madness begins. I get out of work at 3PM. Then I drive the 30 minutes home, run in, get Marc, make sure everything is all set for the movers in the morning, take away the kitties food and just leave them water. Then we go to my parents which will take about 75 minutes or so. My mom is making a special birthday dinner for Marc of Spaghetti & Meatballs which I abhor so she has gotten me some alfredo sauce instead. Then we will have cake. Then we will put our 200lb dining room table and arm chair into Marc's truck. We are spending the night at my parents house because we don't want to leave the things in the truck overnight, my parents have a garage so it will be safe there.

Then we get up at the butt crack of dawn in the morning and drive back home. The movers are coming between 8-9AM, I can pick up the key to the new apartment at 9AM. I am taking the kitties with me which ought to be a treat. Then I wait for Marc and the movers to come. We have Comcast coming between 12 - 4PM and then the inlaws are supposed to come over and bring dinner. Don't even get me started on this, I'm just going to move along. Then on Saturday my parents are coming down. My dad will help Marc put our table together and my mom will help me hang picture frames because she is that good at it and decorate.

Phew. Just typing this out makes me exhausted and it was helpful at the same time. So thanks for listening Gnomies. :thumbsup2

LL, I'm so excited for you about moving. I can't wait to hear how you like your new place.

We have a realtor coming to check out our house this morning. We decided the next logical step in this process is to get some advice from a professional. We have done TONS of remodelling in our home but it's not quite done, there are a few big jobs that we know we would do eventually if we planned on staying here but aren't sure if they will help sell the house or if we will get our investment back on (new porches, windows, floors, furnace and AC) So I'm anxious to hear what she thinks of the value of the house since we bought it.

Hey Christine, I was looking forward to seeing the picture of you and LL when you met for dinner...what gives? I don't think I commented on how beautiful your vacation spot was. Sure wish I could be on a beach with a drink in hand today. At least there shouldn't be any snow here on this April Fools!

Have a great hump day ladies!

Happy April 1st my Gnomies! No fools' joke for ya but I will say- we're in the 1 yr MONTH for Gnomefest!! WOOO-HOOO!

My Mickey Head on my fridge switches from 13 to 12 today. :cool1::banana::woohoo:

Thanks Katie. I am so excited too. If all goes well I am hoping to have some time on Sunday to take some pictures and post them for you all. :thumbsup2

I think that is a very smart moving having a realtor to come check out your house. That way you can figure out what you need to get done if you do decide to sell. :thumbsup2

And on the picture....there isn't one. We only took a picture of Nobby. We should have asked someone to take a picture of the two of us! :headache:

Good morning, Gnomies -- it appears there is ANOTHER storm system gearing up for tomorrow night. I think I am on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

I was awakened at 4 am this morning when it started thundering. I am not having a good spring.

LL, sounds like you are going to have a busy, busy, busy weekend, but just remember how nice it will be to be in a new place.

Katie, good luck with the realtor -- hopefully she will have lots of good advice.

Julez, woohoo for 12 months -- Gnomefest is only a year away (or almost a year away) now!
