Nobby's Gnomies... heading to WDW in April 2010

with the boards down yesterday..I played around with trying to upload it. I have all 4 events posted on FB. The one I put on here i have on You Tube...but I didn't put the others on there

I couldn't figure out how to copy my DVD into my computer...so I ended up playing the DVD and recording that with my Sony Cybershot...which I was able to upload...so the quality stinks...but you can still make her out :)
I really can't wait to see it tonight. :thumbsup2

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:That was the way it was talking to my friend the other day. I couldn't take it because she had gone so unprepared. I tried to help, but there is only so much a person can do.
I was in my cubicle, trying not to listen. Even my cubicle mate was like, "It's not called Mount Everest, is it?" :lmao:I have trained her well at least.

Morning girls!!

I am sitting here trying to block out my boys yelling at each other. I am so tired of the two of them together...they are either best friends or worst enemies and they are both in BAD moods right now and not listening to my suggestions so I am letting them deal with it. Patrick has to go and get ready for school in about 10 minutes so at least it won't go on all day.

OK, I just had to go in there and pull them off of each other and now Patrick is complaining about not wanting to go to school today...I just need to get through the next 1/2 hour...give me strength!!

Wow...I tried to log on last night and the DIS was down so I decided to go watch TV with my hubby instead...sorry I missed chat!! Things have been so crazy around here!!

I watch Allison's video this morning Paula on facebook and she is such a cutie....and she is fantastic...I loved the beam routine!!

C!! Hope you are having a great vacation and getting a lot of relaxation and good drinks LOL...Sorry about the sunburn but at least you have it in perspective!! LOL

Everyone must be busy today, not much chit-chat.

If you want a good read, might I suggest LL's PTR update today...Well done LL!!

Today was a busy day at work, which is odd because the last few weeks have been really slow. I only really had time to work on my update in between stuff.

Thanks Katie! I worked hard on it, I'm quite proud of it. :rotfl2:

I hope everyone is having a good evening. Marc had a job interview today for part time work and he pretty much has the job, they are just waiting for his background check to come back. It's working at a program like where he works now and he'll be doing per diem so he can pick and choose the shifts he works. I'm quite excited for him! It will be great for us to have some extra cash. They said he could start to do their trainings since the background checks are taking 4 to 6 weeks but that gives us enough time to settle in and adjust to our home. Yay!

I went to Walmart so I would get home later to let Marc sleep later, usually I wake him up and he can't back to sleep. He didn't go to bed until about 1PM so I want to make sure he rests up for tonight. So at Walmart, I broke down and bought Twilight. :rotfl2:I lasted a few days. I also rented Bolt and Australia, I'm sure I'll buy Bolt eventually but with the move and Disney, I don't have tons of extra money right now.

I talked to my mom about doing a cake for Marc next Thursday night. We are going up there and getting our table and an armchair they are giving us. We're going to spend the night and then meet the movers down here in the morning. Marc's birthday is April 6th and I want to make sure I do something for him even though we are moving during his Birthday. So my mom said she would do a cake that night. Then a couple weeks after we move in, I'm going to have his parents over for his birthday. Then I have a Disney Dinner to plan because I told C we would have her up and Marc would cook Disney things!! I'm excited about that! :thumbsup2

Hi everybody! I had a loooooooooooong day at work. I'm makin' dinner right now and then folding some laundry and vacuuming, hopefully having time to sit down and watch Dancin' with the Stars 2nite.

Heard you and C had a great time, LL, thats awesome!

Not much on the home buying front... met w/my realtor and I guess I just have to decide that buying a home is too complicated to understand so I have to trust she's looking out for me! To those of you who are home owners- did you use a real estate lawyer w/your transaction? She advised one but I'm on the fence. I've never heard of anyone NEEDING one! Also a home inspection? Blach- so much to do...

Chicago this weekend for spring break! Won't have much money but we at leasst have Legoland, the hotel, and a day at the waterpark planned. Hopefully we can squeeze Adler Planetarium and Rainforest Cafe into that.

K, gonna fix my plate & Rachael's. l8r! Lovin' my Gnomies!

buying a home is too complicated to understand

OMG Julez, I totally agree!!! I don't know how much help I am but yes, we used a lawyer when we purchased our house but that's because we purchased on contract directly from the seller (no agents involved, no bank) so he simply wrote up the contract and handled the legal details of who paid for what in the transaction. I have a feeling the next one will be much more complicated because it looks more and more like we will probably build.

we used a lawyer too. And did buy thru an agent. I'd do it again..very professional and I knew the i's were dotted and t's crossed!!

We did not do a formal home inspection...but my brother is a contractor...so we had it in the purchasing agreement that he (for free) would be doing a basic inspection for us which worked out fine. We only paid for the termite guy...so that saved us a bit of $$

Paula

We did a house inspection too. We wanted one before making the final decision to proceed and also to know that we were getting a good price. well worth the money if your bank doesn't require it to approve the selling price.

Wow things have been crazy busy!! I'm heading over right now to catch up on LL's PTR...we have been having internet issues at our house at night lately. They are updating the wiring they use so the internet has been down which makes it really really hard to update...its been very very frustrating for me!!

I'm so glad you and C had a good time LL and I hope she is having a good time on her vacation.

So Julez, we didn't have a lawyer but we did do the house inspection I wanted to make sure everything was okay with the house before we bought it so it was a lot more for my peace of mind.

Thanks for your input, girls! I just emailed a list of like, 20 houses to my realtor yesterday to find out info on (any offers already.... flood insurance req'd.... foreclosure, short sale, or owner seller.....that sort of thing) so hopefully I can look at some Thursday!

Tryin' to catch up on everyone's PTR's. It's hard cuz my laptop is down. The AC Adapter is broken and we haven't gotten a new one yet to charge it up!

Have a great day at work, everybody! I'm off to watch Paula's daughter's videos!

Good Morning Gnomies.

All this talk of house buying gives me a headache. I think the home ownership gene is missing from my genetic makeup because I have no desire to own a home. Maybe it will come to eventually, but for now it gives me hives. :rotfl2:

I brought out my cd player at work today, I think the music will drown out the office drama for me. I am currently listening to my Twilight Soundtrack. :cloud9:

Hey gang!!!! I had a FANTASTIC, life-changing weekend---now back to the "real world" feeling better then ever---I hope that joy is contagious to you all through our chats!!! ;o)

Julez---we did do the home inspection---I would HIGHLY recommend that, but a lot of times you can have the sellers pay for that. You never know what they will find out about the home. We had a real estate lawyer at the closing, but our agent set all that up for us, so I have no idea how to instruct you on how to find one! Good luck on finding that dream home of yours!!!

OK Gnomies!!

Bad news:sad2:..... July trip...officially cancelled:sad1::sad1:

Good news:yay:.... I got the job!!!:woohoo::woohoo:

more good news:banana:.... I can now really get to planning for September and stop debating 'what ifs'

Paula

Paula, so sorry...and CONGRATS!!! :woohoo: :cheer2: :yay:

I was just looking at your tickers today and wondering about the status of both those things (scary)

Alright, Jen (MM), what was life-changing about your weekend? Do tell!

Paula, so sorry about the July trip, but super congrats on the new job!!! That's awesome!

How are all the other gnomies this evening? I am planning on taking Nyquil and turning in early tonight in the hopes that I can make it through the night without coughing my my brains out.

You are still sick, CP? Bah. My cubicle mate has been battling a cold and I am fearing that I may be coming down with it. Ugh. I can't be sick for moving next week and she's been sick for over a week.

I'm really tired tonight, I want to watch Dancing with the Stars but I don't know if I will make it that late.

Thanks every1 !! I'm excited...and actually so is Kyle. Since his trip is being cancelled..he's getting a new laptop for high school. I think he was hoping for the cancellation:rotfl2:

I know that my Sept trip is gonna be that much better now... AND since I won't get my AP til Late September... It will be good til then next year... so maybe I'll be able to take the girls down for a quickie trip and to the MNSSHP which i know they'll
