I'm so sad and worried right now!! As a local, I should know that, yes, it does rain in September. Right now though, it's a torrential rain, almost of Biblical proportions, going on right now. In fact, earlier this week it rained ALL DAY! So much so that our pool was nearly flooded. And we have a 11ft deep pool! What can I do - I'm so worried that we will get flooded out.

What is sad is that I really worked on having a cool costume. I'm dressed as the girl monster in the Greek council from Monsters U., and I even made a feathered skirt! Do you know what happens when feathers get wet? Nothing good. I know, I know, put on the ponchos and roll with it. But I'm just really worried that it will be a crap night. My brother and sister in law have never been to the party, and if it rains, a lot of the parade will get canceled, including the headless horseman. I understand I can't control the weather, but I'm still so sad. Anyone have any cheer that they can send me?

I'm local too and going to the party tonight. I'm hoping the rain will pass before the party starts. I just saw that it is sold out tonight.

I know!! I'm at my sister's apartment getting ready and I saw it raining!! I really hope it stops!!! Rain is not fun!! On a good note, it may be slowing here!! And I believe in Disney Magic!! :) Can't believe it's sold out!! :\

locals here as well. Getting dressed and ready to head out. By what I've seen it says that the rain should stop around 8pm.

No rain yet here at GF....but cloudy

You have my empathy...

It rained on us last Friday at the MNSSHP from about 4:30 - 9pm. Not fun. As much as people on here say... "We just put on our ponchos and had a blast!", we just don't like the rain and wearing ponchos... It's so much better when it's clear.

Hope it clears up for you!

Dan

Although locals really love rain, god, I really hate it right now!!

Sending all "Non-Rain" thoughts to my fellow locals!!!:umbrella::tink: Everyone have fun and report back!!
It's started storming here in Altamonte at 2pm, and has now slowed to a slight drizzle at 2:30. Let's hope it stops before 4 and stays stopped. I can live with that.

Happy cheers from a local here.
At least you're not shoveling snow. Enjoy the evening!

I live behind MK and so far it's just been a light rain today. Tuesday was crazy though. I didn't think it was ever going to stop! Really hoping it doesn't do that tonight.

Just stopped raining here at Animal Kingdom. We're waiting for the flights of wonder show to start. But I was at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party on Tuesday it rained so bad I thought they were going to close the whole park. And our costumes. Ruined.

We left HS just as the rain hit, so managed to stay dry. Still cloudy at the resort and pools are still closed. Its our first day and this can just quit. We have Fantasmic tonight, MNSSHP Sunday - go away rain!

Just curious, we did Pirate and Pals last Tuesday and the crazy rain thankfully stopped a bit before fireworks. Did the first parade get cancelled? I was grateful we didn't do MNSSHP that night. It was a flood just walking to the Contemporary for our cruise.

Wow! Crazy...down the street here in celebration it has been absolutely poring since 11:30...just started sprinkling instead, but still thundering. We didn't have a pool this morning, but we do now:)

According to radar estimates the WDW area has really only seen 2-4 inches of rain since Monday. That doesn't seem like a lot.

I know you don't want to hear this but there is a big storm off to the southeast heading your way. Should be there around 4:30 if it holds together.

We're heading to the party tonight too. It's been lightly raining for the last couple hours here at CBR. Hopefully it stops, or at least stays light. We have ponchos, an umbrella, and a rain cover for the stroller but it'd be so much nicer to not need them! I felt really bad for those who went to the party on Tues, we ended up leaving AK early that day because it was so bad.

It may not seem like a lot, but there was so much rain at one time on Tuesday that it caused some homes to flood that aren't in a flood zone.

That is crazy! It was sunny here most of the day. I think it was around 1:30-2:00 I started hearing thunder.

This Local HATES it, we had one 24 hour period with no rain ( yesterday ) in the past 2 weeks. Just started again here abt 30 miles past DHS entrance.

Good Luck Party Goers..I TRULY hope it stops for you
