No Wristbands for Parties?

Assuming this is the same as when I was there for MVMCP in Dec:

We had our hard tickets associated with our magic bands... the sole purpose of this was to gain park entry (similar to the old paper ticket for the party) - I did have a copy of the receipt with me just encase, but it wasn't needed.

Regardless of if you gained park entry with a paper/plastic MNSSHP/MVMCP ticket, or your MDE account has the party listed (which they can see via your magic band), they will then give you a physical wrist band for the party.

So don't worry, you're still going to be getting that hospital-style wristband that makes it easy for them to identify you... it's just a different way of entering the park itself for the party.

It's just the hard ticket that is linked to the magic band.

We did this last year & at christmas for a party, you scan your band for entrance/at the kiosk to pick up your party wristband.

Wristbands for party guests are still in place.

I didn't do anything to link mine, and they just appeared in my MDE after I bought them. I choose the regular mail option too. I don't know why mine got automatically linked and others didn't. :confused3

Mine automatically linked as well.

I just purchased for both MNSSHP & MVMCP and they didn't like automatically. I linked them myself.

I had to do the same last year, didn't have any problems. But I always had my hard ticket in my bag just in case of any sort of MB emergency

I checked after purchasing our MVMCP tickets, option to mail/hard ticket. I've received the tickets (looks like a Disney Gift Card). I just checked my MDE account after reading posts. Our tickets were not automatically linked, and I ordered through my MDE account, since was checking on AP & DVC party discount dates. :confused3 However, based on previous posts & experiences from last year tickets & MB, I did not want our tickets linked.

I just checked the MDE site and all of my NOJ tix and MNSSHP tix were automatically linked to all our magic bands. Now I wonder if we will be able to make FP+ reservations ? Last year we couldn't with hard ticket events.
My MNSSHP tickets were automatically linked in my MDE as well, and I still got hard tickets in the mail.

I'm wondering about the FP+ as well. I was hoping to try for an A&E FP+ for my party day, since my DD will be dressed as Elsa. But I only have 5-day tickets, and this will be our 6th day. Does anyone know for sure what the rules are? If I can't use the party tickets to get FP+, I'll just add a day to my park tickets so I can make FP+ res for that day.

This is all too new to know, ya know? ;)

I figured. I guess I should just suck it up and add a day to our tickets. I think an A&E FP+ is worth the $32 it will cost me. ;)

My tickets are automatically linked on my MDE and when I go to the names they each have 2 tickets near their name one regular ticket and one for the MNSSHP. I will be bringing my hard ticket just in case

Ours linked automatically. Shows up as each of us has a 9 day hopper and each of us has a party ticket.

I did not request hard tickets, I just printed out the e-ticket online. It's just paper, I'll bring them anyways.

I'm not worried. :)

Mine automatically linked to MDE when I purchased my ticket. I also received the hard ticket in the mail today. I had signed into my account to make the purchase, so probably why it automatically linked.
