No we are not celebrating anything...

15 Years was my favorite as well (I still wear that tee-shirt!) Singing the song in my head now...
"15 years of magic, come and join the fun, 15 years of celebration and their all rolled into one. Another 15 Years of FUUUNNN FUUNNN - we're havin' a party - come on everybody jump into the beat and put your hands up - HAVIN A PARTY! The party's getting started, jammin' in the street and put your hands up HAVIN' A PARTY."

Yeah....the song is REALLY addicting.

First - sorry for all of you that have lost so much in the past year.

Second - interestingly the one and only time I've been to WDW was when the 15th anniversary was going on (way busier than we had been told). Come to think of it I sort of do remember the song - now it will be stuck in my head as well.

Third - they only asked me once and when I said "nothing" they just said that they would do their best to make our visit special.

I think it was at Wilderness Lodge....

So wierd that they weren't using the private "cast member only" facilities backstage...

oh well.

OP: I'm so sorry for your loss and frustration. Hoping the trip is nontheless the magical escape you want!

Sorry, I'm a bit late getting here!

I'm sorry to everyone here who has suffered losses. I'm glad you are both able to find comfort in WDW, though! It always makes me happy, too, when I start thinking about the sad and bad that has happened over the last few years.

When I called to make my initial reservation, the CM was adamant that we MUST be celebrating SOMETHING. Keep in mind, our trip is coming up in October. I said "well my birthday is in December, can I celebrate THAT? (meaning get in to the park for free), she said no. I said "DBF's birthday is in March, how about that?" No. Our anniversary is on 11/2, but we aren't actually married, we've just been together for 6 years. How about that? No...it's not a MARRIAGE anniversary so it doesn't count. I said well then I guess my answer is also NO. Can I book my trip now, please? At first I was annoyed. Now it's funny to think back on.

Every time I called to try to make a change they asked me again. Thank GOD they made it possible to book ADRs online because if I had to call and get asked "what am I celebrating" every time I changed an ADR I would hurt someone.

I laughed at the poster who said "parole." :rotfl2:

Can't wait to hear about your trip! I hope you have a GREAT time!
