No WDW trip is complete until...

Our WDW trip is never complete until the last of our 3 kids pouts about something! :rotfl: Really, we have pics of our kids pouting on every one of our WDW trips. It's more of a joke now and they ham it up but when they were younger it was usually later in the week after a long hot day in the park.

Actually, not trip is complete for us until we spend a few hours towards the end of the week strolling around DTD. I never realized this until we were making our itinerary for our Nov trip. My wife kept saying she knew we were missing something but couldn't figure out what it was. Then she realized that we didn't have time in DTD towards the end of the week and she said that we've done that every time we've gone and we have to find a way to do it this time too. We still haven't figured out when yet but I know we have to do it. We'll probably spend Thanksgiving night there again like the last trip.

Chocolate covered peanuts. I was a little annoyed when they went from the box to the bag though.

Gotta see "It's a Small World"... I saw that when I went to Disney. Now I have kids they love it. What I love about it is it is kinda 'hokey', definately does not have all of the flash of the newer attractions, and it even shows its age! But you end up humming the song all day. Plus it is a nice 'cool off' event. That is a must see for us.

For my DH it is getting a caramel apple at the candy shop on Sunset Blvd in MGM. He never leaves WDW without having one. For me its a nice relaxing ride on TTA.

For us, it is having breakfast with Mickey and friends at Chef Mickey's! My parents took me and my siblings when we were young every time we went to Disney, and now my DH and I take our kids as well. It is such a fun atmosphere! It is pricey, but not any worse than some restaurants. Also, Spectromagic is a new favorite of mine. We saw this on our last trip for the first time, and it was fabulous!!! I am making sure we see it again on our next trip in October!:thumbsup2

For us, my DGDs and me, it is our first meal in WDW. It has become Chef Mickey's over the years. Then it is on to Illuminations. This says to us, Hey we are really here!!!!:cool1:

For us the trip begins when we eat dinner at Chef Mickeys the evening we arrive and the trip is complete when we see wishes the last night. :cloud9:

For me no trip to Disney is complete until I see my new favorite "Wishes". Although I've only really seen it once and that was this past May I'm totally stoked about seeing it on our upcoming trip in September. What better way to end begin or end your vacation???:thumbsup2

These are bringing tears to my eyes! For DH it is his first hot dog at Casey's- for some reason he loves those things! My DD it is riding the carousel in fantasyland first. The past 2 trips we have seen Mary Poppins and Bert riding it with us. She thinks she will see them every year! For me, it is my DD's reaction (while riding on my DH shoulders) when she sees the castle for the first time. It is precious and priceless and makes me cry every time!

I asked my family what they thought of your question and here is what they responded.

-For me it is to eat a dole whip and to have at least one character meal, it doesn't matter which one, but I just love how each character comes to your table and makes time to have fun with the whole family.

- My girls (6 and 3) - They have to see their favorite princess at least once and ride IASM

- For my DH it is riding the monorail. His favorite thing to do is, on a non park day, to ride the monorail around the MK area and then hop off at the TTC and then hop on to the Epcot monorail and then ride it around back to TTC. This is usually a first day thing we do, the rest of us don't mind because it is such a wonderful relaxing ride :thumbsup2

That is funny because our trip wouldn't be complete unless our DS's complained they wanted MORE souveniors.

Each trip we begin the 1st evening have dinner at Chef Mickey's to say HELLO to our "friends" and then the last morning back at Chef Mickey's to say "goodbye.

I am not really in WDW until I see Cinderella's Castle. No matter how many times I go, the majesty of the castle gets me every time. I also get a Mickey bar every time and sit and people watch. I love going through the gates welcoming me to WDW. Oooh, I always feel the whole situation is truly official once I check into my WDW resort, drop the paperwork off in the car, jump on a bus/monorail, and hit my first ride. It is when I get on that first ride that I know that I am someplace magical and the suspension of disbelief begins.

We ALWAYS must start our day at MK with a photo in front of the castle or going up main street. The Disney photographers usually do a great job!

I personally have to see the trolley show on main street. For me, that makes everything complete. Last time I missed it because I was trying to be sneaky and waited for them at the end of main street (while I watched from afar as they did their thing) because I thought they would do their dance again. Well, dumb me, I was wrong and didn't have another chance to see the show! I couldn't believe it!
Oh! One other thing I always have to do is have breakfast at Concourse. Always get the same thing (steak, eggs, coffee and a stickey mickey) and always book it for the first morning of my trip. Great way to start off my vacation!

For us no trip is complete until:
1 - DSO cries when she sees Cindy's Castle princess:
2 - DN and I tease her for item 1 :rolleyes1
3 - I take animal butt pictures in AK
4 - DN and DSO tease me about my butt pics (see? the teasing evens out)
5 - We celebrate at Chef Mickey's on our arrival nite.
6 - DN tries for the millionth time to talk me into opening my eyes on Space Mountain and Rock n Roller Coaster...and then tries to talk me into doing the ToT (not gonna happen my friend....I tell him "Hun, there isn't enough valium in the world to get me on that thing")

Splash mountain and dinner at 1900 Park Fare.
