No wbta 2013

well it probably won't be Miami, or PC since the EBTA is leaving from Galveston, TX. odds are high that is where it will return to. the Wonder is doing Miami in the winter for the foreseeable future. and there isn't room at PC for a 3rd ship.

Also add us we are LEFTCOASTLADY and Surf2di4

ROBIN & KARL

We are hoping to book the WBTA, when the dates are released.
Have a dummy booking ready to transfer...

I would like to :welcome::welcome::welcome: both Robin & Karl and also DisneyDream2B to the cruise. We are all still waiting on Disney to announce the time for the WBTA - it's got to be soon - I hope, I hope, I hope, I hope!!!

Eek, I never seriously considered the WBTA ending in Galveston - definitely too far from WDW! :scared1:

Since I admit I know next to nothing about Texas: Are there any cool places to go sightseeing within a few hours' driving distance of Galveston, somewhere to spend a few days before flying back home to Europe? Ideas, anyone?

If it ends in Galveston, that may well be a deal breaker for me. Doing another airport, and getting to that airport, which I believe is Houston, isn't easy.

I HOPE DCL doesn't go this route. (no offense to anyone that lives there or near there)

Since the itineraries that were announced did nothing for me, it looks more like a possibility that I WILL do the WBTA (can't go a year without a DCL cruise, can I???). Now, if this could leave out of Venice, that would be ideal :lmao:

Can't believe you were even thinking of not joining us! :rolleyes1;)

Welcome to all the newcomers :cheer2: I'm sure there will be plenty more of us as soon as DCL get themselves sorted..... :rolleyes1:yay::yay::yay:

Have a good weekend everyone!:grouphug:

Finally checking back in...can't believe DCL still hasn't announced this cruise!

Going up to NYC tomorrow for a lovely Valentine's weekend to see a few shows (this weekend was a Christmas present from Greg--he's a keeper). :lovestruc Great weekend to everyone!

If I were Disney this is what I would do in 2013,
The Magic goes off to Europe (from Galveston)
The Wonder goes off to the west coast (from Miami).

When they head back to the Carribean at the end of the summer
The Magic returns to Miami (From Europe)
The Wonder returns to Galveston. (From west coast by way of maybe Hawaii, the Panana Canal etc.)
Closer for each one as they giggle around only parking closer this time.

Remember, the Wonder trip to Miami was a re-active instead of pro-active planning.

Well, if it ended in Galveston we'd at least save the money we'd otherwise have spend on WDW

Louisiana and Mississippi are still missing on my "visiting all 50 states"-list... maybe we'd rent a car and drive to Miami to fly back home from there. Especially as DH has only ever been to the Westcoast.

As I'll be on vacation at the end of March I am sure they'll finally announce the cruise in six weeks.

Very impressed with your "visiting all 50 states" list! I mean, you could say I'm doing the same, only that I still have 48 states to go :confused3 :lmao:.

I really hope the WBTA is going to end in Miami or PC rather than Galveston, though!

I'm hoping it ends in PC, too...especially since I JUST convinced DH that we need to do a Disney grand slam in the next year - all four ships - starting in Dec. this year and ending with the WBTA in October 2013. :cool1: Now I just need to convince Disney that they need to schedule this so I can do it! :rotfl2: Then it'll be back to DH to convince him we need to celebrate this "grand slam" with a few days at WDW! :rolleyes1

(no, I'm not a Disney addict...why do you ask???:lmao:)

Count me among those who hope it doesn't end in Galveston! Nearest SW is Houston, I think, and flights are long and costly.

Sounds like a lovey weekend Andrea :)

They do have support groups for that addiction on ship. Two in fact.

The first one is at the rebooking desk- it's for the casual addict that limits their Disney addiction to cruises.

The second support group is called DVC. This is for the hard addicts. We joined that one in 1997. This one helps more with the financial part of the addiction. Thankfully we realized early enough and now it does not cost as much to support our addiction.

Really, when you think about it, Disney is kind enough to give us discounts once they have us hooked:);)

Oh, I know all about the support groups. But I can quit anytime I want to!!! :lmao:

I still have 26 to go ;)
Including all of the New England States, which are high up on our bucket list. And Hawaii and Alaska (if flying to Vancouver just wasn't so expensive :guilty:).

I hope it doesn't end in Galveston, too. But it wouldn't be a deal breaker for us. Now I just have to hope that this year goes a little more smoothly than the last one... our vacation plans fell through two years in a row. I hope third one's a charm!

Dear DCL, you are making my head hurt. The more I read and think about possibillities, the more research I have to do to look into the viability of the trip. Please put me and my friends out of our misery and tell us the rest of the 2013 schedule.

Thanks!

Same here. It's way more convenient for us to drive to Orlando from middle (of nowhere) Georgia and have family take us to MCO for the flight out and pick us up at PC afterwards. Last time we spend a night at WDW then drove home the next day. It was perfect!

I can't believe they'd give up a whole boat-load of potential WDW visitors, especially with the Food & Wine Fest and MNSSHP going on. I was thinking (wishfully) that they might go back to PC, then reposition to NYC. That would open up way more itineraries than having the Magic in TX, the Wonder in Miami, and the Dream and Fantasy in PC. Just how many Bahamas & Caribbean itineraries do they need? Not 4 ships worth, surely.

Sorry I haven't been active here in awhile but have been having extensive dental surgery and recovering!! I am way behind so if I have missed anything important that I needed to respond to, will you please PM me?

Hope to be active again soon!
