No wbta 2013

Karen. They struggled when we tried to take pictures with Mickey as you cannot advertise " the beer product" with Mickey. We still got a pic with it though:-)

Dan

Yes Karen the boys had to stand with their arms folded across their chests to hide the beer glass on their t shirt, before they could have a photo taken with mickey... it looked so funny
Of course by then they sunk a few beers !!!

 Don't you just love a picture with a story behind it. Next time we will tag along on your bar crawl just to see all the fun.

Hi all
Kind of off topic but with the announcement being so close I am now trying to decide on stateroom and category. Would you all mind giving me some imput on your past TA? What cabin did you have? What deck? and pros and cons :)
Looking at OCV and inside staterooms. Thanks

We love being on deck 7 aft, it's so quiet and calm at the back, we are cave dwellers (inside cabin) but love the layout of the room, to me (I'm slightly claustrophobic) it feels somehow roomier. I've heard people complain about feeling the thrusters when you're aft as we pull in or out of port, but I guess we must like that feeling. We don't spend a lot of time in our room so we don't mind the darkness. I personally hope they don't add secret portholes to the inside cabins for the Wonder & Magic .. they always seem to sell out first on the bigger ships and we lose our cheap little haven.

Trying to decide on 1st or 2nd dining.
My 3 kiddies will be 5, 6 3/4, and 8 3/4.
We have done both but they like to stay late in the clubs so thinking if we do 2nd dining, they can have a couple hours of flaking out watching yv or snoozing between 3 and 5. On port days, we'd skip their rests and give the room service or quick service meals poolside so as NOT to have whiney kids at the table :) Then Grammy and I can book Palo dinners or eat in the dining room alone that night :)

Hi, i'm not 100% sure if you guys are joining this (possible) cruise or not but i've added you to the roll call for the time being anyway.

We haven't decided on this cruise for sure, depends on what they might offer for the Med. Hopefully we will all know soon. :)

Hi,

DH and I have been watching this thread :surfweb:, and I spoke with our agent earlier in the week about booking if/when it should become available.

Looks like many of you have sailed together before, and must have had a great time. Are there any of you who are new to the group or new to TA?

We have sailed with Disney several times, and always have a blast, but we have never done TA. Did any of you do a TR following a TA? Would love to read it, if so, and interested in any tips you may have to offer regarding packing:scared1:, activities and so on.

I know Sarah did a TR after her first TA ... I'll look for it for you :goodvibes

Help from all you EXPERT WBTAers!
What time do we get on the ship the 1st day?
What time was the sail away party? Was it 4:30 like in PC?

Hmmm... I think it was around noon. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong. I just remember having to deal with all my luggage (I think I had one less dress than Margaret, and just as many shoes) so I wasn't paying much attention to the time. At least, that's my excuse for not remembering.

The Non-Sail Away party was 4:30. I think we actually sailed around 9:00.

And don't forget your shy, retiring neighbors -- "You're the man!" :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

:rotfl2::rotfl2: Thanks Pat and Karen for remembering that, lol I've been doing my best to forget it :rotfl::rotfl:

:welcome::welcome: sam and joan, the TA is such great fun, the longer cruise gives you more time to chill and to get to know your fellow TA'ers and we are such an active lot, I needed a holiday to get over the WBTA:rotfl2:

This is my 2010 WBTA TR ...didn't do one on the 2011 ....couldn't remember a thing :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I just heard from my friend Winnie that there might possibly be another WBTA in 2013! I'm so excited! I'm definitely in! I'm kind of surprised that none of my FB friends didnt' tell me about it, but I'm sure it slipped their minds! Please add me to the list Claire! I'm a little behind on my newsletters but hoping to be caught up soon and I can concentrate on getting ready for the WBTA in 2013! :thumbsup2 It will be good to see all my friends that I made last time.......hope we get the same wait staff....they were wonderful! I KNOW they will be so excited to see me! I'll be checking in from time to time guys! Can't wait!!!:cool1::cool1:

I was in a cat 10 on deck 2 (2083). I've been on deck 2 for three of my four cruises. Never had a problem. I can't take stairs so I had to rely on the elevators to get up to deck 9, but otherwise love the location.

I'm booking the lowest available cat available as well as early dining. Had a porthole at my table (31) so it was nice to be able to look out during dinner. My tablemates and I kept looking for whales, dophins, ships, etc. Ships were the only things we ever saw though :rotfl:.

Anyone else planning early dining?
We prefer early dining; we like seeing the show after dinner. 7:30 would be even better (6 is too early if you've eaten much for lunch ;)). We seriously considered late seating last cruise, but I don't want to finish a big meal at 10pm. I do think second seating might be more relaxed, since the servers aren't rushing to accommodate the next group. It's completely personal preference.

We have also done a number of Disney Cruises but have not done a TA yet. We are considering the 2013 WBTA but also want to see what they offer for the Med cruises.

Both WBTA's we have been in 8024 with our favorite room steward Shaka. If the Magic is in the ship, we will try for the same room again which is a 4A. We LOVED the room location as was perfect for the pool and spa for us.

Yes, we are late dining too. Hopefully the Thieves (& honorary ones, like myself) will be seated together... :goodvibes

Monica says she is waiting to link until everyone has book excursions so hopefully we will sit nearby and she suggested we rotate tables!!
