Ok....an explanation of The Champagne Girls

This was dreamt up by by a dear friend, Deb, EllaEnchantedon here, and I, before the first Panama canal crossing, way back.... We were chatting on here one day and the upshot was we decided it would be great fun to get together Ll the girls, drink champagne, wearing tiaras and pink boas...... And generally have fun.

So, all being well, I'll be happy to take this on if we do go ahead, all ably abetted by my glamorous assistant, Miss Custard Tart.

I'm hoping to persuade Deb to come aboard too...

Champagne Girls Forever!

Good to chat with you as well!!

We will be seeing each other both on this cruise and on the MV!! I believe we are at the same table on the MV with Tim and Kerrie!

Sadly, we cannot do the Hawaii AND the MV!! And so opted for the Hawaii as it just sounded to fab to miss...

Bit blurry but... Me and Elf Teddy on Xmas Eve... :santa:

Oh, I just want to nibble on those little fingers and pinch those rosy cheeks! There's nothing in the world like a baby to hold :cloud9:. (Jessica will probably read this later...I can already picture her rolling her eyes :rolleyes1)

GET YOUR PINK ON!!!!!!!!

Pussers is only a short walk from the dock, Maybe 10-12 minutes. Absolutely a "can't miss" in Tortola. The beach at Cane Garden Bay is also really nice. But that requires a taxi or a tour.

Oh my goodness! Sounds like mayhem on previous TAs! We are definitely going to enjoy it.

C'mon Disney, throw us a bone, k???? My birthday is coming up, but you can announce early!!!

Hi Sue!
We had an inside on our previous transatlantic and while of course I would prefer a balcony if money wasn't an issue, it worked really well for us. We spent very little time in the cabin and there was plenty of room for us two anyway. It meant we slept longer as we had no natural light I think, but we did love our aft inside cabin on the 6th deck and will be looking to have it again I think :cool1:

Hope that helps!:goodvibes

Yay! More 2010 peeps! :dance3:

:littleangel:

Thanks Mandy, that is helpful, I think thats the way Vicki and I will go, cheers:goodvibes:goodvibes

Thank you thats a great philosophy and great help:goodvibes

I won't answer the inside cabin part as i've told you how much I love it already.

You can choose early or late dining when you make the reservation:thumbsup2

Thank you honey, I know your thoughts on inside, its good to see so many others agree with you as well. Thanks for the info on the dinner as well, do you prefer early or late??:goodvibes

It was just my husband and me on the EBTA 2010; we had an inside cabin on Deck 6 and were perfectly happy. On the 2011 WBTA, we shared a cabin with our adult daughter, so we booked a GTY veranda for the extra space (and because we just love the ocean view) and received a slightly larger family room Deck 8 aft. But for just the two of us, we wouldn't mind if we were inside again.

My mother and niece accompanied us on the WB and had a single-porthole cabin, with which they were completely satisfied. Now, they have informed me (as has my daughter) that they would love to go on the next one, too, so I'll be booking for five again :).

Now, that's an interesting thought....hmmmm.

One thing about the UK assault on the boards...one learns a foreign language!:rotfl2: OK, in OUR "English", what is a spanner???

Many thanks to you, thats a big help thank you:goodvibes

Hi Sue!

We had four of us (2 adults, a 6 year old and a 2 year old) in an inside for 2 weeks, and it was fine. Yes, a bit of organisation helps, but it's completely do-able. You'll barely be in your room!

When you book, you get the choice of dining times but the earlier one is most popular (don't know why... I don't like eating that early!). If the early one is full, ask to be waitlisted. If not, join us in the late one!

I am almost stupidly excited about this - come on Disney! Announce it already so I can find some flights!!!

Thank you very much, great info, I quite like the idea of late dining:goodvibes

How did you get there....taxi or by foot? (and how far away from the port is it?) We did an organized tour but are looking for something different this time.

We walked, it's 10-15 mins at most. :thumbsup2 I must admit though it was so hot on the day we were there that we had to stop half way in the Columbian Emeralds shop to get some air con. ;) Which turned into my DH buying me a Diamond & Ruby ring for our 10th Wedding Anniversary, we were belatedly celebrating onboard. :lovestruc  :cloud9:

Definitely late!!!! If you do early then you are rushing back to your room early to get ready for dinner, whereas it was a nice time to be up on deck having a drink then getting ready & seeing the show before dinner. :thumbsup2

That thought had occured to me also, might have to see what deals virgin offer again for it at least airfare was included in that.
Maybe dcl have worked it that way to fill more cabins this time :confused3

We always book our cruise and flights separately, do you think you might get it cheaper separately than through Virgin... they must add a bit of a premium :confused3

So in order to have the 2013 schedule in the brochure by 18th January, and assuming they have to have it all printed and all, surely the schedule must already be decided and in that case we need to know NOW !!

From what Lynne said yesterday, I'm sure they know !!!!!!

Yes I saw that too,so I can order it online. But how is it for the American people? Can they order a brochure too. Let's hope that they annouce the 2013 itineraries for the magic/wonder then.

Fingers crossed Liesbeth !!

I had a teramundi pot that I saved £1 coins in, I hadn't filled it fully but opened it as it was part of my spending money for the WBTA. I had around £600 in it. :thumbsup2 I've got another one on the go already....so hopefully it will be full by Oct 2013! ;)

I hope so too, if it's not announced by the end of Feb I will be climbing the walls.

Will dig out the pics tomorrow & send them to you. :)

I was wondering that too when I just read Sandy's post, I recall seeing the door magnets with Sandy & Tom on. :)

Our terramundi pots are for the drinks bill :rotfl2::rotfl2:

It is fab.....Pussers dark rum, Pineapple Juice, Orange juice, Coconut Milk & nutmeg. :thumbsup2

Here is the little Pussers pub that Lee & I went to on Tortola.
http://www.pussers.com/t-road-town-pub.aspx

I don't like rum, but painkillers are gorgeous :cloud9::cloud9: I think I had about 6 at the soggy dollar bar :lovestruc

I thought Marilyn "Granmaz" was the founding member of the Champagne Girls from her signature on posts on last year's WBTA thread??

When it becomes official (and my intuition says it will), then I'll be happy to help with some of the events and stuff.

Then, when it's official, I can also ask some more of the technical questions. I know there is no way I'll book this without "cancel for any reason" insurance.

Nicely done, Clever Claire!!! :worship: Oooh actually... Might be a good shopping opportunity (shopportunity!!!??) for my DH to buy me a belated 30th Wedding Anniversary trinket... ;)

I love late dining. It just feels more civilised somehow...

Thanks for the warm welcome to the board.

We were on the Sept. 2011 WBTA and had a blast! We didn't know about the DIS board until after we were already there and met a couple of people who used them. Since coming back, we've learned so much stuff on the boards that we will know for 'next' time!

I am having a hard time keeping up with all the posts, but I'll do my best from now on ;)

QUOTE=sinnika;43625346]OK, I can't resist! Count me in for another WBTA! Hello to all of my 2011 WBTA travelers :goodvibes and a special shout out to Table 23 early diners! Traveling will be me, Taina (sinnika) and possibly my sister. DH will need to hold down the fort since DS will be in high school. We are also hoping to do a family med cruise in June if the dates work out!:thumbsup2

Well Hello, I have been wondering about you. Can you believe this:thumbsup2 It would be so nice to see everyone again, I would love it if my DD could go, but we will see, it is a long time off. I am going to see Josh Feb. 7-10 I will be there. Can't wait to see him in action in Animal Kingdom :simba:. Don't forget to go to the group on fb too. Would love to see you :goodvibes.

Nope, the lovely Maz was one of the original CGs in that she was at the inaugural CG party on the Panama Canal cruise....:cheer2:
