No Waterpark Hours for MARCH???

For the last 2 nights I have been trying to access the hours for the water parks for the second week in March. I am checking the Disney site directly. For 2 days now it says no operational hours at either park. That can't be right, can it?? Anyone know anything about this???

Strage... the last time I looked (about 2 weeks ago) both BB and TL were open from 10-5 or 11-6 or something like that for all of March. Maybe there's just a computer glitch? I'd think if they were closed, it would say "closed" instead of "unavailable."

For some reason, Disney is playing with the minds of those of us going in March. The MK doesn't show parade and fireworks hours (hasn't for a few weeks now). I finally sent an email to Disney to ask them what was going on. They sent me a reply, telling me what the times were. I think when I looked a while back, that both waterparks showed up as open from 10 to 5. You may want to try contacting Disney direct!

Now, I've been able to get the hours for the 4 main parks. Including parades and such. But the waterparks just aren't showing.

Don't worry, there will be a waterpark open each day with reasonable hours typically midmorning until dark, unless there is some kind of emergency, or inappropriate weather.

Each waterpark is refurbished annually, this is staggered and during winter months.

Typhoon Lagoon is closed until 2/28. Blizzard Beach was down right around our last trip-- which was 11/03. So I don't think it's going down yet. I'm just gonna plan on a 9 am opening. Now to change DS's mind. He wants to do BB and I would prefer TL.

Last year, BB was due to open March 1st, which we counted on for our trip the first week of March. BB is our fav. water park and we had two families joining us who were looking forward to BB as well. BB did not come out of refurb. on time, they extended it into April . We carried on and went to TL for two days out of our week but we really missed BB. The first day we went to TL was a Wed. and everyone else decided to visit that day too , no chairs to be found after 11am! There really needed to be both parks open that week and from what I read, it got more crowded as the month went on. I believe the "refurb" was extended as a cost cutting measure, not because of any work that needed to be done.

This year, they really are doing some extensive work on TL (at least they were planning to) not just your run of the mill refurb. I've read about some changes that were planned for TL that sound really good. My guess is that the work may be running over and they may not open on time. Even if the work were finished, they still may decide to delay opening awhile to save $$. Not fair, but a possibility. I would plan on only BB being open and on getting to the park before 11am on the day you plan to go. Try not to plan for the hottest day of your week, pick the second hottest and hope for lower crowds. BB is a great park and I hope you enjoy it
