Connections does not offer breakfast vouchers for Disneyland restaurants, unfortunately. It would be really nice since Goofy's kitchen is so overpriced. I think it is 8.00 more than a standard character breakfast at WDW.
If you are looking for a DL character dining experience that is a good value, I would recommend Avalon Cove the food is not spectacular but I enjoyed my Salmon BLT and my husband liked his burger. I would skip the french onion soup. You have a choice of a starter salad/soup and then a main entree. I believe that the price is 12.99. Beverages are extra. Children's menu available it comes in a sand bucket with ketchup in the shovel it is very cute. The character interaction is hard to beat. We have been 3 times and we have never had to wait more then 15 minutes to be seated.
The characters usually Minnie, Goofy, pluto, Chip and Dale and Ariel are very friendly. My daughter plays with the character's so much she rarely eats while at Avalon Cove. When we went recently for her birthday I dressed her as Alice and when she came down the spiral staircase they announced to the entire restaurant "Everyone Alice has finally arrived". My daughter was thrilled. That afternoon on her 3rd birthday Minnie ate lunch with her. I love Minnie!!!
Also they routinely give each child an instrument (water themed) such as a starfish with bells etc to play and then they march around the entire restaurant with all the characters. So much more fun then dancing the macarena (which my daughter doesn't know) which they do at Goofy's.
Suffice to say we love it there and get much better value then Goofy's kitchen. I like the food better at Goofy's kitchen but it is not worth the price and the character interaction is no where near as good. Just IMHO
