I am trying to book a value resort for either December 6th-10th or Feburary 10th-13th (mardi gras) for 3 adults. When I try to book online they show up as unavailable. Are they really all booked? What can we expect for crowds if they actually are all booked? Thanks!!

I just googled Pop Warner 2017, and it looks like dates are Dec 2-9. That minght explain the December dates. I wouldn't stay at a value resort during that time.

December is one of WDW's busiest months overall, with even early December being busy in recent years, and early December is also part of Free Dining this year. It will be packed, and between Free Dining & Pop Warner it's no surprise few value resorts are left for this peak period.

Early February won't be as packed as all of December, but the National Cheerleading Championship is being held at WDW on February 10th & 11th. The cheerleaders tend to stay at value resorts.

You might try looking at one night at a time, & see what's available that way. You might even find consecutive one-night availability at the same resort. In that case, calling can help, as the phone rep can see if Guest Services can put separate available nights together that can't be reserved together online.

I have very similar dates to you, going in Dec and Feb. I found it baffling that there was no availability in Feb for the all-stars. Talked to one of the most helpful phone agents ever, and she informed me there is a cheerleading competition Feb 10-11, so the rooms are likely being held, and will be released later. Not helpful. For December, just keep checking. There was free dining, now AP discounts are out, now FL residents too, so there might only be slim pickings left, unfortunately. You never know when someone is going to cancel, especially around the 30 day mark. Hope you find something!

This. Lately the system has been super wonky, and sometimes only shows 1 night availability. That happened with me, and they were able to take my 1 night reservations, and put them together.

Thanks! Unfortunately staying at a different resort makes a short trip too expensive. I'll have to keep playing with the dates.

I'll give that a try! Thanks!

That would be the High School Championships with the College Cheerleading Championships in January and various other Cheer/Dance/Twirl Championships all the way toThe Summit and The D2 Summit in May.:)

I was able to book three one night reservations at POP and combine them into one. Thanks for the help!!
