No USB/Phone Outlets in BWV One Bedroom?

We just returned yesterday from our BWV 1 BR stay (room 3003). The location and view from this room are absolutely perfect! We don't mind how far away the elevator is because we prefer to walk on the Boardwalk and use the stairways.

A few hiccups/complaints about a couple things, but the biggest inconvenience was that there were NO USB ports to charge our phones in the bedrooms. Also, there weren't any convenient regular outlets to plug the USB blocks in, so we needed to charge our phones in the kitchen each night. Not a HUGE deal in the grand scheme of things, but a pretty big inconvenience, especially when there aren't any clocks in the bedrooms and phones seem to die so quickly in WDW.

This is our 4th or 5th stay in BWV, and I don't seem to remember ever having this issue.

Well that is odd. We just got home from room 3077, another 1 bedroom. Both night stands had both outlets and USB ports on them very easy to access.

This was my experience when I stayed in a BWV 1 bedroom in March and in another BWV 1 bedroom in August.

I'm not sure I took a photo of the room this time, but there were none in 3003. We checked everywhere. And with an 11 year old, she certainly knows how to sniff out phone charging areas.

We had 3017 in January and don't recall not having USB. I'm sure I would've noticed.

Also, the outlets for the lamps were way behind the bed so no way to plug in there either. I'm sure one of us would've noticed USB ports while moving around the lamps to see where they were plugged in.

There are a few rooms that have this problem. We experienced it last year in room 5001. When I reported it here, I got a few replies about other rooms along that same stretch of hallway and all on the 5th floor that did not get the USB ports on the nightstands. I sent an email to Member Satisfaction listing all of the room numbers that people had posted to that thread. I got a follow up phone call from someone at Member Satisfaction and I stressed that with the lack of accessible outlets in the BWV 1BRs and the removal of the clocks in the bedroom, the USB ports and power outlets on the nightstand were essential! She assured me that the rooms numbers I provided would be passed along for follow up. Whether anything happened or not, I don't know.

This is the first report I've seen of a room below the 5th floor with this issue and it's interesting that it's also at the far end of the hallway. If you don't mind, send an email to Member Satisfaction and let them know that room 3003 did not get the USB ports and power outlets on the nightstands. I don't have their email address handy. If no one else posts it, I'll see if I can find it in my Sent folder from last year.

Definitely will add it to my list...I have a few things to discuss with Member Services, unfortunately. We still had a great trip, and while each thing on its own probably wouldn't be a big deal, it was just too much to go unmentioned for one trip.

I have been an avid user of member satisfaction in the past. While it can't hurt, don't expect much other than a pleasant CM call back thanking you for contacting them. I have spent months trying to find out what our dues are spent on and how the amounts are determined. Member Satisfaction now tells me that they don't know who to refer me to and all of the my attempts so far have failed.

We've also experienced that at BWV - in one of the 50xx rooms (fifth floor Boardwalk view). I felt like they did a design change partway thru the renovations and added the outlets,

We just got home Saturday, and we had the same experience! It was very frustrating. We actually had a 2 bedroom on the 5th floor and had to charge in the kitchen areas. DH wanted our own bathroom so we took the studio side. I get frustrated with the lack of side table by the bed on the studio portion. I ended up bringing the patio table in for my side. Still no place to charge my phone so that went to the kitchenette area. I really miss being able to see what time it is when I wake up at night.

I actually thought I remembered outlets on the pull down bed in the studio from last time. This time it was just a blank cover plate.

Just returned November 3 from Boardwalk, there were USB ports in the nightstands in room 2123. Standard 1 bed.

Sadly, it makes me wonder if Member Satisfaction is just a "member lip-service". They call and act like something will be done-isn't BWV a DVC resort? To me, the fact that they SAID they "passed it along for follow up" but it didn't happen makes me a little unhappy.

It's possible they did do something about the specific rooms I reported last year which were all on the 5th floor. I stayed in room 5001 and there were a couple of other room numbers along that same section of hallway that KAT4DISNEY added to the list when I posted about this last year. The OP of this thread stayed on the 3rd floor, so it's possible they did fix the nightstands in the 5th floor rooms I reported but didn't know there were other rooms with the same problem. We won't know for sure unless somebody posts something one way or the other about those 5th floor rooms.

What was your room number? I'm curious if it is one of the rooms I reported to Member Satisfaction last year.

I'm sure that they make note of the contact, issue is doesn't anyone take it from there. I have been told a couple of times that I would have better luck reporting resort issues to the resort myself. At OKW there was a missing kitchen drawer that we reported to the resort and member satisfaction. A year later we got the same room and still no drawer, maintenance when repairing the broken dishwasher said that he thought that it was on a shelf in one of their shops.

We had 5077 as the 1 bedroom side and 5079 as the studio side.

We love the BWV and own there, however, try to find an outlet for both electronic devices along with a CPAP machine................. not easy without unplugging lamps.

I stayed at BWV in September and had a 5th floor BW view studio. There were no outlets on the lamps or USB ports
