no upgrade to deluxe from free dining?

I just got off the phone with a CR that said I couldn't upgrade my free dining from bounceback to deluxe dining. Has anyone else had this experience?

I think I'd call back....I've seen a lot of people that made this change. Maybe since the bounceback booking time is over you can't make changes? I know I added a day to ours, but it was still within the bounceback booking timeframe so maybe that is what made the difference?

You'll need to have the CM speak with someone in Guest Services to make any modifications to the free dining bounceback promo since they're the only ones who can make those changes. Otherwise it will show as "sold out" for a different resort, or "unavailable" for the deluxe dining. Others have done both.---Kathy

I would try again....I have seen posts where people pay
like 30 bucks for the deluxe plan with the bounceback.

Definately call back. When I made my bounceback reservations, the CM told me I couldn't pay the difference to upgrade from free dining to deluxe.

I kept persisting and she finally went to get a supervisor who explained that it could be done. The CM honestly didn't know this was a possbility and asked a couple of the CM's near her who didn't know this was an option either.

You really need to speak with someone higher up.

Call back for sure! My husband and I are booked for the bounceback Sept 20-29th and just this past Tuesday (1/1/08) we called and upgraded to the deluxe dining plan.

The previous posters are correct, the cast member you speak to will need to contact guest services to make the change.

The phone call may take awhile, but be persistent! This is actually the third time we called inquiring about the upgrade and were told it couldn't be done on the first two attempts!


And, yes it cost about $30 per person per day for the upgrade. We are so excited to be able to eat at a signature restaurant every day!

Hello! Just reading through this post and was curious about the dining portion of the bounceback offer. We are booked with the bounceback offer from 3/29 - 4/7 at the GF.
Is the free dining available to me at this time or deluxe dining?

I'm not sure what bounceback offer you have, I believe the OP is talking about the September "Free Dining" bounceback.

I booked the Free Dining bounceback in September while we were at CBR just doing the regular free dining. But, in November, I called & switched it to the Deluxe Plan. You do get transfered to a different person--I think I actually got sent to the Grand Gatherings People. Keep calling! You'll be able to book it.
