Just got a call from Disney canceling my Hollywood and Brown reservation, and she confirmed Hollywood and Vine along with all other TS restaurants will be stopping service at 345pm on the Villans Unleashed night.

So much for that beat the heat idea!

Just passing that info along.

It would make sense now that the party is added. I am thinking those of us with expensive party tickets wouldn't spend that much money for the party then waste any time at a sit down meal, and those not planning to attend but who had ADR would probably cancel anyway during the dinner hours. As soon as party was unofficially announced we booked Sci-Fi at 3:15 so we would not need dinner during the party.

They may also be concerned with traffic, parking etc since the area is more congested than MK so canceling is discouraging people to be hanging around closer to party time.

Hmm - there is H&V at 5:45pm available when I look right now. Maybe the restaurants are closing at 7? (I hope that's the case, since I have a HBD ADR at 5:35!)

It doesn't make sense that the addition of a party would shut down all the TS restaurants in the park before 4 p.m. The TS restaurants at MK don't close at 4 when there's a MNSSHP or a MVMCP. And congestion is never something that would keep Disney from making money.

Anyone else have this issue so far? I keep checking MDE and my 5 p.m. Sci-Fi dinner is still there.

I read it somewhere (probably Disney's website) that said to make sure you allow plenty of time to get to DHS. We're going to be at MK that morning, but thinking about eating a late lunch at Epcot and walking over/taking the boat over.

I canceled Chefs reservation I had for that night because I snagged a 5:55 Sci Fi ADR for the night of the party. We decided to use only the event ticket for park entrance that day, so we won't be able to dine in another park. They should really get the details straight, as we don't want to be scrambling for an ADR if they do decide to close the TS places early. We want to enter the park as soon as they will allow with the event ticket, so our dining window of opportunity is pretty short.

I agree. Not that they will have the same issues as last year since this is a ticketed event but DHS does not have the extra parking that MK has to handle the day visitors and all those coming in for the party during the time overlap. I would not be surprised if they closed some TS early. Last year and this time we will be in the park in plenty of time to avoid any traffic.

OP did not say what time her ADR was for, it may be later than they plan to be open that night. We all know that phone CMs are not the best source for info. It could be they decided to just close her restaurant or maybe just a couple. I doubt they will fill them all during this particular party. I'm not spending $75 and then turn and sit in a restaurant for an hour or so.

This is the first time for this party and no one has any idea how it's going to work or all the plans in place. To me closing a couple of the restaurants, particularly the most expensive makes sense.

The CM checked with her manager and said the manager did not even know if they were going to close early that night. Very strange.... This would not be the worse thing to happen, of course, I would just like enough notice so that when I have to replan my afternoon I still have a few choices left . I'd be surprised if they added a villains meal this late in the game, unless they felt it would draw more people to purchase tickets who have not already. I'm surprised the event is not sold out yet, considering its only one night and the hype its gotten. I wonder if they are offering more tickets than what they normally do for MNSSHP. Part of me fears this is just going to be long lines for autographs and an opportunity to buy overpriced tee shirts. Then again, my crankiness could just be because I got 3 hours sleep due to staying up to book my FP+ last night.

It was a 5:35pm for Brown Derby. Just relaying what I was told on the phone. My H&V has not been cancelled (5:15pm) so maybe it's just brown derby and the CM was wrong. Wouldn't surprise me, and wouldn't be the first time.

Yup. They probably had a list to call and really knew nothing else. I guess we will see if others report the same - could be lots of reasons, low reservations, maybe a private event will be offered there for party - being a new event anything is possible.

Yes! This is the first year that I have not been able to booked Plaza Restaurant in MK on the same day as NOJ. I usually book for 4:30pm, however , this year no TS restaurants in MK offer any times after 2:45pm for either night. I started trying to book right at my 180 day mark so I know it isn't that they are all full.

As of now I have a 5:10 at Mama Melrose. Figured we could eat before the real party festivities begin.

Do you think I'll be able to enter at 5:00, not use a regular day's ticket, just the party ticket, and make a 5:10 reservation? Do they give a little "grace period" on your ADRs?

Someone posted on another Villain's party thread that we could get in at 5 PM. I think you will be given about 10 minutes (maybe more) to arrive later than your ADR, but I think the bigger question is if you're going to be allowed to keep that ADR since so many are being told that ADRs are going to be canceled.

If we can't keep it, not the end of the world. I HAVE to have a Mama Melrose dinner at some point or my DS13 will not be a happy camper! It's his one request. So we do have it booked for another day just in case and won't cancel that until I know for sure we're all set. If we have to, we'll just do the food court at the resort before heading over. Just figured this would work out perfect--if I get to keep it!

I just made a 4 PM reservation at Via Napoli for DH and me and we'll walk over after we're done.

We ate at Mama's once, but I don't remember too much about it. However, I want to eat there again so that I can actually form an opinion about it!

We went for the first time last year with the Fantasmic package. It was good. I wouldn't rave on and on about it, but we certainly enjoyed it. Fun atmosphere, decent food, large portions, good service. But my DS absolutely LOVED his dinner--some seafood pasta thing with mussels, shrimp, scallops, etc. He claims it's the best meal he had in all of Disney---just hope the real thing lives up to his memory!

Guess we'll have to wait and see what happens with the party and ADRs.
