here now at quarter til 8 have reservation for marcilene to magic tour monorail starts at 930 and they are just now getting a ferry to dock

When the monorail is not running due to repairs, here are BUSES on the other side (East side) of the TTC building that will take you to MK.

FWIW, one of the days that I was at the MK back in early March, the Monorails were down for repairs. When we got to the TTC, the CMs were directing everyone to take the ferrys. Yes, that was the day it took us over an hour from the time we parked until the time we scanned in our tickets.....

The buses are to the far right. If you've gotten to the monorail you've passed the buses and they'll direct you to the ferry. I swear they try to keep the buses a secret. Several times we've been the only family on the whole bus!

Probably the same CM that tell people the buses don't start running till 1 hour before the park opens. You'd think bus hours would be the easier thing for a CM to get right. I get they move around a lot but honestly, can't the first thing they learn as a CM be bus hours?

Have a great trip.

When we did the SteamTrain tour, they told us to park at the Contemporary. I figured that might be standard practice for the early morning tours.

I have taken the buses many times early morning for pre-RD BOG reservations but it seems like lately they aren't running them and just direct me to wait for the resort monorail "whenever" it opens. I will say that a week ago Sunday we were able to get on one right away at 7:10 (I've always had to wait until at least 7:30 before). But there were definitely no buses.

We made it in with seconds to spare especially since as an added bonus they were making everyone enter go through the 'pixie dust portals' aka metal detectors. The tour was super and I would highly recommend

Glad it worked out for you! We once arrived at the TTC at 7 am for a pre-park ADR and all the CMs just kept telling us to wait until the monorail and/or the ferry started running at 8 am. When we explained that we had an ADR at BOG at 8 am, they got a shuttle driver to drive us over. It was a nice, private van ride over to the MK. I would think they would have some sort of plan for situations like this by now and that the CMs at the TTC would actually know about it.

When my sister booked she even asked we're locals and so we're driving in for the day and not staying on property and they said we'd be fine. When we got to TTC the monorails were not starting til 930 the boat was dry docked {not even at the loading doc} and I overheard a CM on the phone saying there were no busses and a crowd of people wanting to get to the park. We asked if there was a way to walk and the CM pointed to the water and said there was no walking path cause of the water {though I know for a fact it IS possible as how else would rundisney events run in the parks}

Like I said we got in and the tour was just about to leave {we would of missed it by mere seconds had the guide not forgotten his mic}

It was a nice tour {even though Pooh was down when we got to it so we couldn't ride...got to ride haunted mansion and carousel of progress }

When the tour was over we ended up hitting mermaid, grabbing lunch, and do prince charmings carousel, philharmagic and tiki room before getting to splash for the backend of our fastpass {we had a 105-205 splash and 215-315 thunder we planned to be at splash around 145 so we could freshen up and hop right on thunder} after Thunder we figured it would be quicker to go standby for Pirates then wait for our FP+ so we did that, then caught the parade grabbed a dole whip and now I'm back home. {like I said I'm a local who lives about 45 mins away from the world when there is no traffic}

^^^ this.. just walk towards the taxi and the sign will say epcot buses.. it's not only epcot... (Passed them last weekend heading to grab an uber)

This is so frustrating. My family is hoping to do a tour next spring and we will be staying offsite. I have read several stories like this and they are giving me a lot of anxiety about getting to our tour (which we will be spending a lot of money to do!) on time. Disney has several early morning offerings at MK. Why can't they make it easier for their paying guests to actually get there on time for them?! Why am I already worrying about ferries and buses and monorail, and/or "should we take an uber to the contemporary?", etc.? Why can't they just get people to the events they have organized and sold to people??

We "could" have had trouble both on April 23 and April 25. We had prepark opening ADRs for BOG. We were staying at Fort Wilderness and since the direct boat doesn't start running till 8:30 (can someone clue me in as to why they can't start that boat by 7:30?!?) and the other boat goes to a couple other resorts plus a 10 minute walk from Contemporary...we opted to just drive. The first morning the ferry boat wasn't running and the second the monorail wasn't running. No heads up about any of it until you got right to the TTC. I'm sorry but if you are going to have prepark opening reservations there is no excuse not to have a way to get people there! And whether I have a PPO ADR or not, I've paid good money for my days ticket and I don't want to be walking in and missing the opening ceremony if I've got myself up that early on vacation just bc their services weren't running yet!!!

Question...if you are a Disney resort guest can you park at any of their properties? Like could you park at the Contemporary for the day and walk over, even if you were staying at a different Disney resort?

If there is room, you can valet park at CR.

Posters are reporting there were NO Magic Kingdom buses available from TTC when they were trying to make their EARLY ADRs/Tours.

so if there is no ferry, no monorail and now no buses. you happen to be next to the taxis and can taxi to contemporary and walk over to MK as a last resort.

There are no taxis, either. The taxis start lining up around 11am.

You could call for a taxi, but it's just as easy to order up an Uber.

I think if you went over to the Bus Info booth and explained the situation, they would get a bus or van to take you to the MK. Be firm. Ask for a transportation manager, if necessary.
