I have been on Nutrisystem for 13 days and have lost 9.5 lbs! I'd like to lose a total of 50-60 lbs. I do not excerise (work fulltime and have a 4 yr old and 1 yr old, no time for much else... ) The lunches and dinners have all tasted pretty good! Some better than others, but for the most part I have really enjoyed them. Some of the snacks/desserts are not so enjoyable. IMO But by next month's order I will have learned which ones I like and only order those. I think the biggest thing this has taught us (my DH and Sister joined Nutrisystem with me) is portion control. It's alittle scary to think about how much we used to eat at one meal, compared to now. And because we now eat 5 smaller meals a day, we hardly ever feel hungry. I'd say the worst time of the day for us is if we are up late watching TV. Normally that would be the time I'd run in the kitchen and grab a bowl of chips or a couple cookies. That is a NO NO!! Good luck to all of you who are just starting! My sister and I have tried several other "diets" in the past and failed. We both feel that this is one that we could stick to a lot easier and it's teaching you to eat regular food in moderation.

I am happy that you received the coupon. For some reason it seems like a lot of people here are not getting them. I received mine very soon after ChrisGill sent it, and then signed up a day or so later.

Anyhow, I can either send you another buddy coupon to your email address, and I think your friend will be able to use it if she writes down the code on the coupon and then when she signs up, types in the code. Or you can PM me and I will give you my name to use as a buddy coupon referral, OR if she has an email address, I can send one directly to her. Whichever way you choose.


To everyone else who would like to sign up and save $$$ (and who does not wish to save $$$, LOL):

I used the link in the very 1st post of this thread when I joined. It has a "save $50" icon on it on the left side of the page, and a week of free food came with it. I was able to use the buddy coupon, and went with the autodelivery to save on shipping and whatnot. The total came to $217 and change for the first month. I did sign up online and choose my own foods, and had no problem applying the discounts. I hope this helps anyone who wants to sign up.

I have been on NS for 5 days as of yesterday (5/13), and am down 4.5 lbs. I am drinking at least 32 oz of H20 daily, and YES, fruits and veggies are allowed. I have a serving of fruit w/ breakfast, a salad with lunch, and another salad or veggies with dinner. I also try to add another fruit in daily.

This NS plan is e*a*s*y! So far most of the foods that I have tried have been very flavorful (except for last evenings "Chicken & dumplings" = the dumplings were gross - kind of like little balls of dough). I am not super fussy, however I did choose to hand pick my meals rather than having NS pick them for me. The extra week of food was picked by NS - that was how the above meal came about. Also, I was sent 2 servings of some odd "pizza-like" food that I did not try yet. I'm a little leery of pizza that does not have to be refridgerated or frozen prior to cooking.

Any other ???'s - feel free to ask away.
