+ 110 for my usual walks towards the team total!
Is everyone happy for me to take on December as I suggested last month? Anyone else is more than welcome! But if not I can get the thread up in the next day or so![]()

I never realised Zootopia was so popular until I went to China! The amount of Zootopia merch in Shanghai is crazy. If you have any final minutes, post them and I will add them. I'll leave you with the astounding news that Zootopia 2 grossed more than HALF A BILLION DOLLARS this long weekend. It was China's highest-grossing Hollywood animated movie, breaking a record set by the original Zootopia. I guess there is a reason Zootopia Land was situated in Shanghai Disney!
This is my fear. I don't want to sequestered. I don't know what is going on in the county as we can't look at the trials coming up. I don't think we have anything major. I understand about the barn. My grandparents owned a farm. My mom grew up with having horses, cowns, chickens and pigs. They lived off of the farm. By the time I was born, my grandfather had horses and my grandmother breed and showed dogs. It is a lot of work. DD took riding lessons at a barn that hired the kids to work it basically. They volunteered to help and once they got so many hours then they could have a free ride for an hour. Once they were 15 or 16 then they could work to get a paycheck. It has to be a lot. Crossing my fingers that either you don't get called or are on an easier one. I don't call until the 12th.Sorry to hear that. Hopefully there won't be many cases happening since it is a holiday month. The calendar for mine started with about 20 possibilities and has whittled down to 5 now. The first two are doozies, though. One is a 2 week trial, and the other is 4 weeks. Both deal with subject matter I really, really don't want to sit through. I also worry the 4 week case might sequester the jury. I have to start calling in daily on Friday to see if I have to appear. Really makes it hard to plan the month, and it is stressing all of us out - especially my husband who is supposed to be out of town for work a few times in December and relies on me to handle things here. I was hoping he could drive me, too, so I wouldn't have to worry about parking, but that doesn't seem like it's going to work out. If I get put on a big case, the huge problem will be the horses. Particularly one that needs several meds each day. I'm not at a full service barn, so about 95% of their care comes from me. It is very expensive to pay someone to take over, too. I budget that in for vacation, but paying someone for an entire month would be very costly. Hopefully I don't get put on that one! If I do and end up sequestered, I guess we'll be having our holidays in January. Wishing you good luck!!! Hope you don't get chosen and if you do, you have a very short trial!
First of all, how fun it must have been to grow up around your grandparents! Secondly, thanks! I did avoid the two long trials. Those started this week and I have yet to be called in. Having to call daily still stinks, but I think I've broken the calendar code and the next possibility for having to show up would be Monday the 8th. Looks like they try to seat jurors and start trials on Mondays here. Only 2 short cases this coming Monday and one short case on the 15th. Those are the only trials still left. Others have changed months or entered plea deals. I'd like to get called in now just to get it over with and stop the daily call ins so I can plan beyond one day at a time. I don't mind being on a one or two day trial. Just didn't want one of those first two and now I'm safe. Hopefully things go well for you, too. This is my fear. I don't want to sequestered.
