I'm getting close to my ADR calling date (a week on Friday) and it's just the two of us, DH and me. When we went in 2003, we had no troubles getting tables for two at any of the table service restaurants we booked.

Recently I've been reading that people are having a hard time getting ressies for two. What's the deal with that?

Cause most people are making Ressies for 2 so you have to get them in before everyone else.

We made our ADR's a couple of weeks ago for our upcoming trip in Oct. It's just my DH and I and we had no problems getting the restaurants we wanted at the times we wanted. We always eat at the popular restaurants ('Ohana, Le Cellier, etc) and we made the ADR's at prime eating times (all around 5:00-6:00) . Good luck!! :wizard:

Krista - I'm glad you were able to your 2 person ADR at Le Cellier in Oct. I called exactly 90 days out (since I didn't know about that extra 10day thing) and got absolutely nothing - we now have an 8pm for 3. I'll keep calling back b/c we won't eat that late. I guess if I have to I'll just show up at 5 and wait.

However, everywhere else was no problem at all.

I called up about 3 weeks in advance and got all the ADRs I wanted for 2. I got Boma, CG (perfectly times for WISHES), and Tepanyaki. We will be going in 10 days so I'm not sure if the time of year has anything to do with it.

Can you make reservations more than 90 days out? Every time I call with any question about my trip in general, they ask if I want to make any meal reservations. Of course we haven't decided where we want to eat yet...other than going to Crystal Palace for breakfast...and even then we haven't decided which day.

Allowing for Goofyfreek :) :) , I suspect the main reason is the Dining Voucher/free dining business. Seem thousands of folks who might not ordinarily eat at a WDW restaurant now find it complelling to do so.

I made all of our ressies for 2.....CG, 50's PT, CP, Tony's and Shutters.....and I had no problem at all. OUrs are for November.

Had no problem making ressies for 2 in October (LTT, Ptc, Kona, Boma, Le Cellier)

Yet for the first week in Oct., I got nothing for 2 (the entire week) at Brown Derby or Le Cellier.

Made ADR's for two at Le Cellier, Rose and Crown, Coral Reef and Chef's de France for end of October and beginning of November with no problem. I made them at the 90 day mark if that makes any difference.

I called in my 90 day window to make ressies for 2 at LeCellier, CRT, Mama Melrose's, Sci-Fi, Brown Derby, Wolfgang Puck, Artist Point, Coral Reef, Rose & Crown, Tony's Town Square, San Angel Inn and Rainforest Downtown...then, I had to call back in my 55 day window to change 7 of these around to different times and days with no problem.

The first series of calls were over an 8 day period and I had a different CM everyday (it was before the new rule of 90 day, all days), but when I called to do the 7 changes, I had one extremely nice CM (who's name I couldn't get because she said it so fast!).

I was shocked a few weeks ago when someone else mentioned they had trouble with a two person ressie, basically because I'm the most unlucky person I know and I had no trouble! I did ask the nice CM who took my changes why some people were having trouble with two person ressies, I told her that some people mentioned it might be lack of two person tables, but she said that this was not the case, they could seat two people at a four person table if need-be. She said the problem lies with when most people book the two person ressies...most of which are couples and they tend to eat later than families and they all want to pile in the restaurant at the same time. She did go on to say that although they can seat two people at a four person table, they do have to leave some four person tables open for when four people arrive. I don't have a "couple" situation since it's me and my sister and I guess we don't eat too late (although our Artist Point ressie is for 8 pm) and ours are the non-clashing kind of ressies.

The purpose of this very long, very boring story is that maybe try adjusting your times. It might help!

I don't know if it's specific to the free dining. Back in January, the earliest PS I could get for one person at CG was 9:15, but for three people I got 7:30.

The only place I couldn't get a reservation for 2 was at CRT for dinner (90 days out). I made it for 3 and had my choice of times. I even made some reservations yesterday for 2, and we leave in 2 weeks.

Uncleromulus - glad to hear someone had the exact same problem as me (well I didn't try Brown Derby). But not one day that first week of Oct had ressies for 2 for dinner at Le Cellier - no times at all were available - and I called as soon as the window opened.

I called each day (90 days out for each, staying at SOG and unable to make them all at the first 90 day mark) and got all my ressies for 2 at LTT, Prime Time, Sci Fi, Le Cellier, Rose and Crown and Plaza Restaurant. My Dh and I decided to do our big meals at lunch instead of dinner this time. Maybe that's why it was fairly easy to book what I wanted. I booked for 12 noon for each ressie. :earsboy: :earsgirl:

I called right at my 90 day window and got all the restaurants we wanted. We will be there from Sept. 23 - Oct. 4. I was able to get tables for 2 at Le Cellier, Brown Derby, CRT, Kona Cafe, Rose & Crown Pub, Jiko, Citrico's & Flying Fish. We are not on the dinning plan.

I too am having a problem with getting a ressie for 2. When there is an available slot it is late. We did take the late times, but it is a little strange. My mom, stepdad, and 2 brothers will be in WDW the same time we are & they had no problem at all with getting a ressie for 4! I am a little dissapointed, but as long as I'm in WDW I'll get over it! :earsgirl:

like to know this also...at afew places definitly felt like our 2 seaters was unwanted/overlooked..are they maybe working toward families more at some places?

in July and the only place we had trouble getting PS's, or ADR's I guess I should say, was Le Cellier. We got CA Grille, San Angel, Brown Derby, Blue Zoo, Chefs de France, and Artist Pointe with no problems.

We don't all have kids, do we????
