Judge not lest ye be judged. For all you nosey bodies who have nothing better to do with your time, than to follow up on my posts FYI -
Our pool broke. Yes, that is right. The pool that we have had for 12 years, the pool that we got when I was pregnant for our twins who are now 11 years old, has bitten the dust. We were going to try to repair it, around $150plus the cost of a new liner, but then it busted out on the other side. Water everywhere in our yard, lots of hard work bailing freezing cold water and swashing through mud, and there is still about 3 feet of ice to go. Yippee, my yard is ruined before Spring is even officially here. Yes, we decided to replace the pool. If our TV broke, we would replace that too. If our fridge or stove broke, we'd replace that too. Same goes for any other appliance, etc. that we have. Okay, I know a pool is not a necessity - so please do not tell me that - but we have had it for 12 years and are used to having the pool, so we did replaced it.
As for camp - my kids are entrepreneurs! They are collecting bottles and cans to return for the deposits and my dd has an idea to plant flowers and vege's and some
nice people on the message boards suggested herbs too, so she is on her way to making enough for camp. Of course, Dh and I are paying the balance of whatever they do not manage to make. The way people litter around where we live, they should have no trouble getting almost enough on their own.
Now, let's hope the sniping remarks stop here. I was shocked to find out how much some people pay for a week of summer camp, so I guess we have it better than some.
Have a nice day.
