It's been over a decade since I've been to DHS but my memory is that it doesn't have a big footprint. We're bringing a stroller for DS4 for the big parks even though we no longer use it at home. But should we just leave it in the hotel for our DHS half-days? TIA!

I agree it's not a big park, but I'd still bring the stroller. If you decide you don't really need it, you can always just park it in stroller parking for an attraction and leave it there. Plus, after a few days of walking, your DS may not be able to walk as far on day 3 or 4 as he could on day 1 or 2.

I'd plan on bringing it - you can always change your mind seeing how your trip is going. I agree that the stroller needs can drastically increase during the trip. I had a 3 year old with amazing endurance who didn't need a stroller at all on day 1. He was in it almost the entire day by the last day. It can also be a safe place to hang out if there are crowds or if the child is overwhelmed. And - can let you walk faster. The worse that can happen is that you park it somewhere and don't need it.

As for personal experience with kids plenty able to walk - my middle child used the stroller because the crowds overwhelmed her. She was afraid of being separated from us and knew she wouldn't in the stroller. Logic works better with adults than little kids, so the stroller it was! My youngest has sensory issues so the stroller was needed for him to feel secure. This was the same kid who wouldn't sit in the stroller at all when we went when he was 2. (Nor would he walk - he had to be carried). I had to train him to sit in the stroller for a trip when he was 3.5 and then bribe him since we didn't want to carry him. At 4.5, our trip would have been miserable if he hadn't had that cocoon of safety. (He did better at 5.5, but still needed it for security).

I would totally take the stroller! I agree even if its not a huge park its still hours of walking/ standing. Like others said better to take it and park it most of the day.... Instead of wishing you had it. We go in Oct. Most of the time and Hollywood studios is a park with very little shade meaning on days its warm at all it wears you out faster! You wouldn't want to have to rent one if you realized you child needed it.just my advice :smickey: have a great trip

Thanks everyone! The security issue makes sense too, especially since we'll be going during Osbourne lights. It's just an umbrella stroller too. We'll bring it.
