No spend January anyone?

Apologies if this has already been asked - bit of a lurker!

My dp and I are hoping to be able to come to Disney in April - we've not booked yet and to achieve this we really need to start cutting out the cash we spend on things we don't need.

We've agreed that January will be a 'no spend' month - the only exclusions are emergencies, gas, kitty litter and toilet paper

Has anyone else ever done this?
