Oh, I'm sad!:sad2: I just saw on the home page that they are going to be renovating the liberty square bridge and that means no spectromagic parade while we are there this year. It was one of our must-do's this year b/c we've missed it in years past due to the kids ages. Oh well! It the Dreams come true parade will run twice, one at 3pm and then again at 7pm. So heads up to anyone heading there in August!

i know i am so upset it is my favorite nighttime event. planned on seeing it our first night to get into the spirit. i think we will go to ft wilderness to see chip and dale and an outdoor :) movie instead. i think it should be fun

I'm assuming that they will still do wishes though, right? I can't imagine them not doing that!

We've only seen the dreams come true parade with my older sons, before the younger two were born, when they were really little. I loved it, but it was always too hard to do, and then take an afternoon break, plus always so hot in august, so at least we can do that at 7pm!

We'll be there in August too and just discovered that there will be no SpectroMagic. I'm so disappointed. I really wanted to see that parade. I figured that my kids would make it to Wishes if we had the parade time to sit and watch but now I'm not sure they'll make it. We will just play that by ear.

Where did you find this information? I wonder if it will be up and running by November timeframe?

It's only supposed to be closed from 8/15 to 8/29, while they repair a bridge. I found the info on www.wdwinfo.com under rehabs/closings. You should be fine for November.

noooooooooooooo!!! It can't be true. Are you sure the parade is canceled? That's the one parade I've been looking forward to seeing since I went to disney has a kid.

Yes, sadly it's true :( We'll be there August 15-22, so we'll miss it completely as well...

It appears though that they will be rerunning the 3pm parade @ 7pm during that timeframe.

Looks like Wishes will run as normal :thumbsup2

Whew! We will actually get to see it while there! I think my 3 year old son will totally LOVE it. Thank you for posting the dates and keeping all of us updated. I forget to check the rehabs etc regularly.

I too forget to check the rehabs--thank goodness we get there on the 11th, so I'll make sure we see it early in the week!

Oh what a BUMMER!!!!!!!!! :( I was so looking forward to that. Well it gives us something to go back for!! pixiedust:

Thankfully we will get to see it. I planned on saving it for our last night there after an early dinner at Kona on the 15th, but now I will move it up. I feel bad for all who will miss it. I am so excited to share it with my family of Disney newbies. :thumbsup2

Why can they run the other paradea// They both take the same route?

From what I have read, they are planning on running the other parade up main street, around the hub, and back down main street. To me, that sounds like a huge crowded mess. :confused3
